Great boot for casual outdoor adventures, gardening or landscaping work. They fit perfectly at size 9. They're so nice I didn't want to wear them mowing my lawn yesterday but this is why I bought them😂 so I guess they'll get their first bit of grass and mulch stains today! If they don't last the year I'll update review but I've purchased Columbia boots previously and they usually good / wearable for at least 12-16 months of moderate use. I have thousands of SQ ft of gardens to maintain at our house and I landscape on the side. So my boots don't get 5 days of hard labor but definitely not light duty either. My similar timberlands are about 14 months old and still have some life in them . I hope these can meet that work life.
I was looking for a shoe/boot for regular life, walking around Denver in a particularly snowy winter. I wanted the following:1. Warmth- I have lousy circulation in my hands and feet because of medication. These boots are a lot warmer than a tennis shoe or my go-to Timberland Earthkeeper hiking boots. They are perfect for being outdoors in 10-40 degree (F) weather. They are overly warm and my feet get a bit sweaty when it gets warmer or if I am wearing them indoors for extended periods. But they do breathe so it's not too bad. Overall they hit the sweet spot.2. Support- My ankle ligaments are chewing gum at this point and will roll/sprain at the drop of a hat. These boots give a decent amount of support if you lace them tight. Not as much as I'd want for a hike but perfect for going around town or shoveling snow.3. Traction- the sole is light and doesn't have very thick tread, which means it will probably wear out quickly. However, the soft rubber is ideal for traction on snow and ice.4. Vaguely Fashionable- These don't look like big clunky snowboots. They look pretty good with jeans or khakis like a nice high top shoe or mid-hiker boot. I got the olive green ones and it is a nice neutral color that goes with anything.5. Comfort/fit- probably the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. At first the area above the arch was tight- a common issue for me as I have high arches,- but after a bit of wear that wasn't a problem. The quilted padding means it should break in and accomodate different foot shapes. The size was spot on. I habe slightly wide feet and it was fine, again, the insulation means the shoes have give.So for my needs these boots are awesome. They can kind of do it all pretty well. I can walk around in the snow and then go to a restaurant or bar and look decently nice and be comfortable and warm but not overly. If any of your needs are more extreme, they might not be good for you. They aren't suitable for wearing with a suit, or for an Everest expedition. But no footwear is.
These are the lightest pair of sneakers I've ever owned, the whole package is 2lbs, very very very comfortable, my size is 7½ so I take size 8 for thick socks space (best decision). Will update in December when I test it in the cold weather.Great purchase so far though
The boots are very comfortable and I am very critical of boots, but the shoe laces they use are horrible. They are very wide and thin, like a ribbon. They are very hard to tie and very hard to hold in place while you tie. You are going to want to replace them because it is so frustrating, you can't get the boot on or off your feet because the laces will not allow the boot to open up to get your foot in. Very sad that such a good boot has the worst laces I have ever seen or used.
These shoes were just what I needed. No break-in period, nice looking and lightweight. Perfect winter sneaker/boot. Bought my regular size, 12, and they fit great.
I got these boots for my honey and let me say, he loves them no complaints at all..I did good. They keep his toes warm, and he is comfortable all day.
Man oh man, I just got these the other day and the second I put them on I was in love. Right off the bat these were extremely comfortable. I wore them to work around the house and there was absolutely no break in period. Blisters and pain were none existent. Not a big shoe guy but these are awesome. I highly recommend!
Shoes look fantastic but my right shoes sole squeeks everytime i step, to tge poibt where i dont want to wear them anymore...😪
