When it comes to selecting the right jazz shoes for your child, the Capezio Kids E-Series Slip On Jazz Shoe emerges as a favorite among both parents and young dancers. Here's an in-depth look at its features:
The combination of soft leather and neoprene makes these shoes incredibly comfortable for extended wear. The padded insole adds a level of cushioning that provides support without compromising on flexibility.
One important note is that these shoes run about half a size smaller than typical street shoe sizes, so it’s wise to measure your child's feet accurately before making a purchase. For kids with higher arches, opting for the wide width can be beneficial.
The sleek caramel color not only looks great but also pairs well with various dance costumes. The low profile design allows for free movement, essential for full range of motion during dance routines.
Young dancers will appreciate the slip-on feature that facilitates quick changes between classes or rehearsal. The non-slip heel counter and EVA rubber sole patch contribute to stability on stage, allowing long hours of practice worry-free.
These shoes are built to withstand the rigors of daily use, making them a smart investment for budding dancers. The quality materials ensure longevity, meaning you won’t have to replace them frequently.

These seem great but they’re tiny, so if you don’t know your capezio size, you may need to order multiple sizes. My daughter wears a 9 street shoe and her bloch jazz shoes that aren’t wide enough are an 8. I ordered 8.5 and it looks like a baby shoe. I then ordered 9.5, 10 & 1. I got the 10 1st and still too small, so the 9.5 wont either. Hoping for the 1’s to fit when they arrive, but I’ll have to try the 1.5 too in case 1 is also too small. I’d just order in person, but no stores carry wide near us. Once I get the fit right, it’s definitely a great dance shoe. So glad for a wide option.
Not true to size
Perfect!
I took a shot in the dark on the sizing just based on the buying these for my step daughter a few years back. Luckily, I guessed right, but there should be some better way of listing sizes. My daughter is 7 and wears a size 12 in little girls shoes. I ordered a 3.5 in this shoe (I think because it was the smallest they had at the time of ordering), and they fit great! Just a little bit of room in the toe (a size 3 probably would have fit better, but she would have grown out of it fast). Otherwise it is a good dance shoe for kids classes.
Shoes were fine, but had to return them since they were too small.
These fit my daughter's wide and thick foot comfortably.
I was in a hurry to order this product and didn't take the time to read the reviews and this time I learned my lesson --- I will never place another online order without reading other's input first. My daughter wears about a size 2.5 in youth street shoes. I thought I'd order a little big to try to get more than just this year out of the shoe, so I ordered a size 3.5. When it arrived, it was comparable to a child's size 13 in youth street shoes! I just printed my return documents and THEN decided to read the reviews --- oops. The quality of the shoe I received seems very good. I'm only giving it a low rating because the sizing is so crazy. I have bought other types of dance shoes both in stores and online and have never run into issues with dance shoe sizing not being the same as standard street shoe sizing. I have reordered the same shoe in a size 6 for my daughter and had to upgrade to next day shipping in order to receive them in time for her next class. Bummer. Moral of this story is read the reviews!!
Same brand. Ordered same size. The jazz shoes don’t even come close to the same size as the tap shoes.
