When you first slip your child's feet into the Capezio Girls Fluid CG17C Tap Shoes, you immediately notice the commitment to comfort and performance. The combination of the soft PU leather and padded collar offers a snug yet gentle embrace around the foot. This thoughtful design feature ensures that even during rigorous practices or performances, your child can focus solely on their dance rather than discomfort.
The real standout is the shoe's exceptional sound quality. Equipped with top-of-the-line Tele Tone taps, these shoes create a deep, resonating sound that enhances every step and turn. Whether your little one is performing on stage or tapping away in the studio, the sound produced by these shoes will not go unnoticed.
Additionally, the flexible suede outsole works harmoniously with the Texon board shank to provide both support and agility. You’ll find that your child can easily execute complex movements, thanks to the enhanced flexibility of the shoe. However, keep in mind that it is recommended to order a half to full size larger than your child's regular shoe size to ensure the best fit.
While these shoes are a delight overall, they do have a few drawbacks. Some users note that once broken in, the shoes can fit differently, especially for wider feet. Additionally, the initial wear may require some adjustments. Therefore, patience is key as the shoes mold to the foot over time.

Love these shoes for my son. I read the reviews before purchasing and bought a size larger for him. They fit very well, look so cute on him and will last him probably 2 seasons. These are well made, durable and well worth the money.
This is a great shoe and I've used this style for both my girls! It looks very professional and is also comfortable. If your child has a very narrow/petite foot, then use their street shoe size. However, if your child has a more average to wide foot, I would definitely go up a size.
My son was inspired by Singing in the Rain to want to learn to tap. I can't get to stores with a broken foot so I needed to order shoes online. (Plus, the local dance stores don't offer much selection in boy's tap shoes). This shoe indicated it was true to street size. My son's feet measured 11.5 according to Amazon's chart, so I ordered a size 12. They looked so tiny when they arrived, but they actually fit him just right. He could hardly wait to lace them up and get tapping. The shoes seem soft and comfortable for him.
Solid tap shoes. My daughter learned how to tie her shoes just so she could wear these tap shoes (she didn't want to wear the velcro style mary janes anymore). They hold their shape well and she can tappa tappa tappa with ease. They are more like shoes and she has never had any issues with stepping out of them. We got her her street size first (1), but exchanged for a 1.5 W - she does not have a wide foot. Consider that you may need a W size, because these seem to run a bit narrow and maybe a bit small.
Great shoe. Excellent quality. Seems to run a bit small. My son could not wear them a full year. He outgrew them far before they even looked worn.
My son needed taps for dance class and we found these to be the best option. I ordered and compared a few sizes & brands. These are soft and will most likely stretch a little. They fit great and he really likes them. So far, so good...
I don’t understand why my daughter tap shoes are busting out in the back. The stitching is not holding. I thought spending more money on her shoes would make sense for one year not one month. My daughter dance season ended in August. It just started back 2 weeks ago and the shoestrings are broken and the back seams are busting on both of them. She wears a size 2 in shoes and that’s what I purchased. I don’t suggest you purchase Thea tap shoes if your kid is on a Company dance team.
Bought these for my four year old son for his tap recital. Fits same as street shoe size. Well-made. Will last far beyond the time he out-grows them. No complaints as far as comfort - soft leather.
