The Capezio E-Series Jazz Slip On shoes excel in providing a dance-friendly experience for children. The soft leather exterior not only looks great but also allows for comfortable wear throughout the day. When evaluating the fit, many parents recommend selecting a half size up from your child's regular shoe size for optimal comfort and ease of movement.
The neoprene arch is a standout feature, providing necessary support during dynamic movements like pointing and flexing, which is essential for growing feet. Coupled with the EVA rubber sole patch, these shoes provide a non-slip surface that enhances safety while dancing.
For parents concerned about hygiene and upkeep, the machine washable feature is a significant advantage. With proper care, these shoes can withstand the rigors of frequent use, making them a practical choice for active youngsters.
However, it’s worth noting that customers have reported some discrepancies with sizing; therefore, trying the shoes for fit before committing is recommended. Additionally, while the shoes may need a short break-in period, the overall quality and comfort make the Capezio E-Series Jazz Slip On a reliable option for young dancers.

These seem great but they’re tiny, so if you don’t know your capezio size, you may need to order multiple sizes. My daughter wears a 9 street shoe and her bloch jazz shoes that aren’t wide enough are an 8. I ordered 8.5 and it looks like a baby shoe. I then ordered 9.5, 10 & 1. I got the 10 1st and still too small, so the 9.5 wont either. Hoping for the 1’s to fit when they arrive, but I’ll have to try the 1.5 too in case 1 is also too small. I’d just order in person, but no stores carry wide near us. Once I get the fit right, it’s definitely a great dance shoe. So glad for a wide option.
Not true to size
Perfect!
I took a shot in the dark on the sizing just based on the buying these for my step daughter a few years back. Luckily, I guessed right, but there should be some better way of listing sizes. My daughter is 7 and wears a size 12 in little girls shoes. I ordered a 3.5 in this shoe (I think because it was the smallest they had at the time of ordering), and they fit great! Just a little bit of room in the toe (a size 3 probably would have fit better, but she would have grown out of it fast). Otherwise it is a good dance shoe for kids classes.
Shoes were fine, but had to return them since they were too small.
These fit my daughter's wide and thick foot comfortably.
I was in a hurry to order this product and didn't take the time to read the reviews and this time I learned my lesson --- I will never place another online order without reading other's input first. My daughter wears about a size 2.5 in youth street shoes. I thought I'd order a little big to try to get more than just this year out of the shoe, so I ordered a size 3.5. When it arrived, it was comparable to a child's size 13 in youth street shoes! I just printed my return documents and THEN decided to read the reviews --- oops. The quality of the shoe I received seems very good. I'm only giving it a low rating because the sizing is so crazy. I have bought other types of dance shoes both in stores and online and have never run into issues with dance shoe sizing not being the same as standard street shoe sizing. I have reordered the same shoe in a size 6 for my daughter and had to upgrade to next day shipping in order to receive them in time for her next class. Bummer. Moral of this story is read the reviews!!
Same brand. Ordered same size. The jazz shoes don’t even come close to the same size as the tap shoes.
