A Blast from the Past!In the late 80s and early 90s, British Knight sneakers were a special commodity. The more unique individuals were seen wearing them. I jumped at the opportunity when I saw them here. They are well made. The stitching and bonding of the sole is well done. The graphics are wonderful. They fit well and are comfortable. They are uncommon and so good looking. Two pairs of different colour laces came with the shoe. The shoe box was tattered however.A wonderful purchase experience.
I grew up in the 80s and Early 90s. British Knights shoes were popular among Hip-hop artists and Athletes during that time. I was on Amazon recently looking for some shoes and came across British Knights. Just seeing the shoes brought back so many memories. The shoes are stylish and comfortable. I will slowly be adding to my BK's collection. BK's are well worth the money!
Very good shoes, worth the price. Top quality.
Looks good, fits well but not as much support in the sole as I expected. The bottom grip looks plastic and feels cheap but still looks good.
They are Wide so keep this in mind when buying them. I personally like how they look and feel.
There's nothing to think over, just order a pair. I imagine most young heads don't understand what a huge deal BKs were back in the day. When other sneaker companies were focused on athletic use, British Knights made it about style. You'd see them in music videos. When the Metros dropped around 85/86, the only other brand that came close in popularity was TROOP (and maybe Ballys or Filas). Jordan 1s were out in 86, but so expensive that no one in my neighborhood dared to wear them. They were so pricey, you had to be careful walking through your neighborhood, or waiting at a bus stop with them on. BKs were IT. The Metro especially (the black and white, or black with the concrete). By the late 90's, nobody even talked about BKs anymore, though.Fast forward to 2014, BK starts releasing classic throwback designs. I honestly had no idea until recently that the Metro was even available. No hesitation, ordered a pair (which amazingly were priced down to thirty bucks on sale). Showed up at my door in just a couple of days. They look exactly as I remembered. The fit is PERFECT, about as true to size as you could want for new kicks. But then came the best part....We relocated out to the sticks, but I'm a city kid. I knew that no one would recognize them out in the boonies. But when I wore them in the city, I couldn't believe how many comments and questions I got about them. Old heads will recognize them in a heartbeat. Younger guys didn't know the brand, but would ask me what they were, because they liked the design. For me, it was like stepping foot in a time machine. To a much better time. I've never been into coke-white AF1s, wild looking high-tops. This is what I like, and these are perfect. I just could not be happier having bought these, and I'll be ordering more styles soon. Would also make a great gift for any old-school sneaker head.
You can’t walk in these shoes. Luckily, I use them as driving shoes. They don’t flex properly for walking, the laces are way too long about twice the size of the shoe, and every time you step they pull your socks down. DO NOT BUY unless you just sit in them all day like me.They do look cool to me, chunky like I like.
Nostalgia is a powerful drug and these shoes are a great fit and feel.
