I have flat feet and wear a size 10.5 M to W, depending on the footwear. I purchased the 11. I removed the original liner and inserted OTC insoles (overpronation). PROS: The sneakers were water resistant. My ankles created gaps in the fabric at the sides, which isn't unusual with flat fleet, so I sewed the gaps close . These sneakers were easy to clean with detergent. They were lightweight and compact, making them easy to pack in my backpack. To my surprise, I walked up to ten hours a day, three to five days a week for nearly five months in these before a whole appeared in the sole of one foot. CONS: Initially, the fabric rubbed against my pinky toes and ankles, making them sore, but considering the amount of walking I did w/ flat feet, I'd say these were minor complaints. The problem went away overtime. Also, the OTC insole probably positioned my foot higher of the ground and closer to the fabric than the design intended. To remedy the irritation, I wore socks with a high enough neck. To conclude, for the comfort and price point, I purchased another pair.
I wear a 7 all the time. I put this on with no socks and it was tight. Felt short and tight all over the shoe. Definitely can't see wearing these with socks. Returning for a 7.5. Hopefully they will fit better. having said that they have a bit of a rubber smell out of the box but not enough to worry about. They are very cute and being able to use the ties to tighten and loosen would be handy. Even my 15 year old approved so they must be cute! Wore in the rain and feet and socks were wet.
I bought these shoes, because I needed waterproof shoes for a summer camp I worked. The camp was in a woods every day for an entire month. Every morning the grass was wet from dew, in addition to everyday activities such as fishing, water fights, and rainy weather. My shoes and socks were sopping wet all day and ending up stinking really bad because of it. I bought these shoes because they said they are waterproof, but they are not at all. Very disappointed. I ended up throwing these shoes away because of how bad they smelled due to being wet all the time. Save your money for sure!
