The Bloch Girl's Annie Tyette Tap Dance Shoes stand out for their thoughtful design tailored for young dancers. The combination of elastic strips and snap designs ensures that the shoes fit snugly without compromising on comfort. With a padded insole and soft cashmere lining, these shoes effectively manage moisture, making them a practical choice for extended wear during practice or performance.
In terms of flexibility, they excel, allowing little feet to move effortlessly as they learn new routines. They provide ample support, crucial for preventing injuries during growth phases. Additionally, the non-slip pro balance pad helps young dancers maintain stability as they transition between steps, making it a reliable choice for budding performers.
One aspect that may be a concern is the sizing; some users have noted that they run narrower than standard street sizes. Therefore, trying them on or consulting size charts is advisable before purchasing. However, once broken in, most find them very comfortable for long-term use.

I did order multiple sizes based on reviews but for my daughter 1/2 size larger than her street shoe size worked perfectly. The shoe is very good quality and got the best price on Amazon.
These shoes are super cute, my toddler didn’t want to take them off and thought they were the coolest thing! However she has really small skinny feet, she’ll be three soon and she’s just now getting into a toddler size 7 shoe. So I ordered her a narrow for her teeny feet, and they were a little too narrow, I sized up so she could have room to grow for the dance season but they were too tight and left marks around her toes.
So gorgeous! They have an elastic strap across the top that fastens with a metal snap, similar to that of kids jeans. Makes it very easy for my 4 year old to put on independently. Took the recommendation of several reviewers and sized up. My daughter wears a 9 sneaker and I bought a size 10 — they fit perfectly! We’ve only had them a few weeks but they seem of great quality and, the way I see it, you can’t go wrong with Bloch!
I have two daughters (3 and 4 years old) and they wear size 9 and 10 for toddler on regular shoes. I purchased a size 10 wide and they fit well on both of them. They wore their shoes for tap dance class this week and said they were comfortable. We are happy with the purchase. For us they fit as expected and the shoes look very nice and good quality. This is the first time we purchase tap shoes so I don't have anything else to compare but they do look durable in my opinion.
Easy to put on, with a button and the elastic belt to stabilize the shoe. I guess the bands were supposed to be used with the elastic belts together to tie up the shoes. However, if you remove the bands, the elastic belt appears to be a little too loose. (The bands were somehow removed during my kid’s dance class. It is more convenient to just have the hopefully tighter elastic belt, and not rely on the bands.)
Perfect little shoe for my 3 year olds first dance class. They are well made, easy to put on, and can withstand the heel toe heel toe heel toe of a weekly toddler dance class. Will continue with this brand as she grows into larger sizes.
These taps run so incredibly small and narrow! I bought a size 7M for my 3 year old daughter. At the time, she still fit in her size 6.5 street shoes and could wear a size 7 with thick socks. So, unwittingly following the “true to size” statement in the product description (and multiple responses in the Q&A) I purchased the size 7M, expecting her to have room to grow. I can’t even get her foot in the shoe! I checked the Bloch size chart, and it in fact shows that my daughter would need an 8.5, which does not correspond with street shoe sizes at all! I’m sure these a great taps if fitted correctly. The ribbon and snap closure is rather clever, and the quality is there. Just double check the actual measurements before buying! Do not rely on street shoe size!
I say fits as expected because if you know anything about dance shoes you already know they run small (she wears a 10 normally but 11 in dance shoes). The backs were of course a little tight because well..new shoes. Shoved some unopened cocktail sauce jars in them for a day (I know you just read that and turned your head but it worked!) and they didn’t go through the hurt/breaking in stage.
