The Bloch Girl's Pump Split Sole Canvas Ballet Shoe offers a unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern performance. One of the standout features is its pump construction, which allows the shoe to hug the arch of the foot closely. This construction method minimizes material bunching when pointing, which can enhance the overall look during performances.
The use of soft and durable square canvas ensures that these shoes mold perfectly to your child's foot, providing both comfort and support. Additionally, the heel seam cushion promotes a smooth, aesthetically pleasing line, which is crucial for any aspiring ballerina. The teardrop-shaped pads at the toe and heel allow for increased flexibility, enabling natural foot movement that is essential in ballet.
However, it is important to note that sizing might require some adjustment, with a recommendation to choose a half size up from the child’s street shoe size. While this can be a bit inconvenient, it helps ensure a better fit for active dancers.
In terms of maintenance, the Bloch Pump Slippers are machine washable, making them easy to care for after long practice sessions. Overall, if you’re looking for quality, comfort, and style in a ballet slipper for your little one, the Bloch Girl's Pump Split Sole Canvas Ballet Shoe is surely a top contender.

They are described wrong, but the picture is correct. They are canvas shoes with a leather sole, and they are wonderful. I prefer canvas over leather, for comfort and the fact that you can throw them in the wash. And the split sole is way better than solid. Furthermore, my kids dance a lot, and these actually hold up. I can even pass them down to the younger ones. The other name-brand shoes we had been buying were very comfortable, but usually fell apart after a few months of decent use. I highly recommend these shoes.
I ordered these slippers for my daughter expecting them to be leather as stated in the description. They are not, they are canvas. I was using an iPhone to order so I could not tell from the picture. They are also at least two sizes too small for her.
