The Bloch Girl's Annie Tyette Dance Shoe stands out among dance footwear thanks to several key features that cater to both budding and experienced dancers. The shoe delivers a harmonious blend of style and functionality, ensuring that little dancers can shine both in practice and performance.
One notable aspect is the shoe's construction. The use of synthetic leather not only provides durability but also facilitates a soft fit against the skin. This helps to prevent discomfort during extended wear. Additionally, the cashmere lining and padded insole are significant plus points, offering cushioning that absorbs moisture and enhances overall comfort, which is especially beneficial during long rehearsal sessions.
Furthermore, the elastic strap and ribbon design add practicality to the aesthetic appeal. These elements keep the shoe secure while allowing for stylish expression. The incorporation of Bloch Techno taps allows young dancers to explore rhythm in a way that is engaging and expressive.
In terms of performance, the non-slip pro balance pad ensures reliable stability on various surfaces, minimizing risk of slips and falls. Plus, the seamless design of the lining reduces irritation at the heel, allowing young dancers to focus entirely on their routines without distraction.
Yet, it’s worth noting that some users have reported needing some time to break in the shoes before achieving the perfect fit. Be mindful of the sizing guide, as there can be variances that may affect how the shoe fits compared to regular footwear.
Overall, the Bloch Annie Tyette Dance Shoe is an excellent choice for young dancers looking to elevate their skills and confidence on the dance floor.

I did order multiple sizes based on reviews but for my daughter 1/2 size larger than her street shoe size worked perfectly. The shoe is very good quality and got the best price on Amazon.
These shoes are super cute, my toddler didn’t want to take them off and thought they were the coolest thing! However she has really small skinny feet, she’ll be three soon and she’s just now getting into a toddler size 7 shoe. So I ordered her a narrow for her teeny feet, and they were a little too narrow, I sized up so she could have room to grow for the dance season but they were too tight and left marks around her toes.
So gorgeous! They have an elastic strap across the top that fastens with a metal snap, similar to that of kids jeans. Makes it very easy for my 4 year old to put on independently. Took the recommendation of several reviewers and sized up. My daughter wears a 9 sneaker and I bought a size 10 — they fit perfectly! We’ve only had them a few weeks but they seem of great quality and, the way I see it, you can’t go wrong with Bloch!
I say fits as expected because if you know anything about dance shoes you already know they run small (she wears a 10 normally but 11 in dance shoes). The backs were of course a little tight because well..new shoes. Shoved some unopened cocktail sauce jars in them for a day (I know you just read that and turned your head but it worked!) and they didn’t go through the hurt/breaking in stage.
My daughter wears size 3 and I got the size 5 regular thinking she would grow into it, her feet fit, but at the toe area the shoes was clearly tight because when I took off the shoes her foot had indentations indicating tightness. She loved them but didn’t want to use them long because she kept tugging at the toe area so that told me it bothered her. I returned them and ordered a 5.5 Wide hoping that will be a better fit and hopefully I can actually use stockings with the new ones, because I had to remove them to even put this size shoe on.
I have two daughters (3 and 4 years old) and they wear size 9 and 10 for toddler on regular shoes. I purchased a size 10 wide and they fit well on both of them. They wore their shoes for tap dance class this week and said they were comfortable. We are happy with the purchase. For us they fit as expected and the shoes look very nice and good quality. This is the first time we purchase tap shoes so I don't have anything else to compare but they do look durable in my opinion.
These taps run so incredibly small and narrow! I bought a size 7M for my 3 year old daughter. At the time, she still fit in her size 6.5 street shoes and could wear a size 7 with thick socks. So, unwittingly following the “true to size” statement in the product description (and multiple responses in the Q&A) I purchased the size 7M, expecting her to have room to grow. I can’t even get her foot in the shoe! I checked the Bloch size chart, and it in fact shows that my daughter would need an 8.5, which does not correspond with street shoe sizes at all! I’m sure these a great taps if fitted correctly. The ribbon and snap closure is rather clever, and the quality is there. Just double check the actual measurements before buying! Do not rely on street shoe size!
Bloch dance shoes have always been the choice of dance shoes. My daughter danced for 12 years and now she is buying Block for little dancer.
