Comfort: The Dansoft ballet slipper excels in providing comfort for young dancers. Its soft leather material adapts to the shape of the foot, allowing for natural movement without discomfort. The cotton lining also adds a layer of softness, making long hours of practice more bearable.
Fit and Sizing: A snug fit is crucial in ballet, and the Dansoft offers a secure feel thanks to its adjustable elastic. However, it’s essential to measure carefully as some users have noted that it runs a bit narrow. This can be mitigated by selecting the appropriate width size.

I am very impressed with the Bloch Dance Dansoft Ballet Slipper! I can tell it is fabricated with excellent quality. Most importantly, my daughter loves them! I was a little worried about ordering ballet shoes online, but after reading the reviews I was comfortable with what size I should order my daughter. She is only 3 and wears a size 9 in shoes. When we tried on the ballet slippers at Payless I had her in a 10 and it was too wide (plus the quality was not very good). After reading the reviews I ordered a half size bigger, so I got her a 9.5 M (what I received was a 9.5 D, the reviews have very helpful hints for what size to order). When I took the ballet slippers out I was worried they weren't going to fit her. They looked small, but they actually fit perfect with a little bit of room in the toes! I am so glad I ordered a half size bigger instead of a full size! The ties on the front can be pulled to make sure the slipper fits her foot perfect. She didn't want to take her shoes off she was so excited! So, I was able to get a better quality ballet slipper for a lower cost than Payless! Overall, I would highly recommend these ballet slippers!!!!Pictured below: I hadn't tightened the strings of the bow yet, my daughter was too excited to have them on!
I bought these for my toddler son's ballet class. I have always been a Bloch fan and their quality does not disappoint! They definitely fit on the small side, I would recommend ordering a half size up especially for chunky toddler feet. Easy to get on and off and broke in quickly and easily.
When my daughter started dance they required either Bloch or Capezio shoes. We initially bought some Capezio shoes from a brick and mortar store. They were a bit roomy and while the shop owner assured me it would be fine, I decided to shelve the Capezios for a while and try to find a smaller size shoe after my daughter tried the Capezios several times and seemed to dislike wearing them.I prefer these Blochs to the Capezio. The construction feels stronger and the fit feels more molded. The top part of the shoe is comparable between the two but the area around the sides of the foot has more give to it on the Blochs without feeling flimsy. The leather sole on the bottom is shorter and more narrow on the Bloch shoes. My daughter seems to prefer this as I think it gives her foot more flexibility. The fabric on the inside of the shoe is softer on the Blochs which makes for a more comfortable fit. Both shoes have elastic ties. The Capezios are significantly longer, and the elastic is more 'slippery.' Several people recommended to me that I put a double knot and cut off the extra because tying them would never stay, and I found this to be true. On the Blochs I was able to double knot it which has been working great.Overall, I think both brands are good, but my preference is for Bloch. We'll definitely be purchasing more Bloch shoes in the future.
These ballet shoes are great! I ordered a size up to make sure they fit my 3 year old but I could have ordered her current size and it would have fit well. She says they are very comfortable. The elastic on these is in a good place, other ballet shoes she has tried had the elastic too far back and it squeezed her foot. The elastic wasn't too tight either. The string on these stay tied much better than other ballet slippers too. I have only tied them once and double knotted and they have stayed tied for 5 classes so far! I believe they are real leather too so her foot doesn't sweat and they have better give than other materials. They look just like the photo and are very cute.
As others have written, these a superior product to the more common Capezio slippers. The materials are higher quality, fit and finish are as well, and the fit is perfect (bought two pair in different colors - both are exactly right). The lining is softer and thicker than the other brands. The leather is much higher grade. My little daughter loves hers, and though she preferred to be barefoot most of the time, now won't take these off. There are two minor points that they ought to address. First, the elastic ties are a little too short, and it's difficult to tie them in a bow (rather than a knot). Second the elastics around the ankles are a little too tight, and the elastic edge inside needed to be altered to prevent abrasion (easily enough done - but do it before your child tries them on so as to prevent discomfort). Those deficiencies take off one star.
These shoes are good quality, however, they are extremely small and narrow. My little ballerina immediately took these shoes off her feet and refused to let me put them back on her. I plan on returning them for the wide version because the toe space is good, the shoe is just too tight on her feet. She is normal weight and height for her age and wear normal size shoes in street shoes. The elastic band is a wide band and that just made the shoe even narrower. With her being new to ballet I definitely want her to be comfortable in her shoes and hopefully the wide width will be a winner for her.The new pair in size 10 E did arrive. I did not order the next size up (10D) because the 10C size were so small. The 10 E fit without the band hurting her feet. She grinned very big and pranced around. We were both pleased. The tie cinched the shoe to a perfect fit. I now give the shoe a 5 start review, just order the wide size.
