These are wonderful ballet shoes for your budding ballerina!Leather: The leather is of good quality. It's supple and bottoms are nice.Color: The color is wonderful! It's a true pink tone, not orange. These shoes match our Theatrical Pink Danskin Microfiber Tights perfectly (great tights btw!). Several of the moms with the orange-pink shaded shoes have asked me about our lovely slippers and where I got them.Adjustable Top Fit: The little elastic string/bow around the top allows for adjusting the shoe for a nice snug fit.Sizing: I'm not a dancer myself, so I can't speak to the technical particulars of the fit for a ballet shoe. However, this is a quality brand. My daughter was wearing a Size 26 in Pediped and a size 9 in Sketcher Twinkle Toes when I got these slippers. I originally ordered a Size 9.5, but that slipper had much too much room in the toe for her feet. (Slippers should be a snugger fit, or so I'm told.) So, I exchanged them hassle-free here on Amazon for a Size 9 (Note: I'm an Amazon Prime member) and they fit great! She's been jumping and tip toeing and doing spins and these shoes keep right up with her and stay on.Super pleased with this purchase!---------5 Month Update: These shoes are still wearing great. They've held together just fine, but she only wears them in the dance studio and at home a little bit. (Note: these shoes are not intended for street wear; it's bad for the shoe and also bad for the dance studio's floor.)Also, I misplaced one of the shoes three weeks ago and thus ordered another pair. My daughter's shoe size had increased to a 10.5 so I went ahead and bumped up to the Size 9.5. She still has some room in the toe, but her dance instructor said they were fine. I eventually found the other Size 9 (naturally, two weeks later) and she can still wear that pair, but they are getting pretty snug,
These are the first ballet shoes for my daughter. I got a size bigger than her shoe size and it's not noticeable. Since the rope snugs the shoe tighter I think she'll be able to wear these comfortably for a year or two depending on how fast her feet grow. They slip on and off with ease and my daughter absolutely loves them! We were confused initially about which shoe is the right or left one, but they are identical. The quality and stitching is really good and they are holding up very well. (The shoe soles were clean when they arrived but this photo is after her first class so they show wear). We will be sticking with this brand for future ballet shoes.
Purchased for my 10 year old ballerina and she loves them. Appears to be durable
