When it comes to hiking shoes, comfort and functionality are paramount, and the Skechers Men's Selmen-Enago Trail Oxford Hiking Shoe excels in both respects. The Air Cooled Memory Foam technology molds to the contours of your foot, providing a cushioned feel that's ideal for long treks. This feature, coupled with the relaxed fit, ensures that you won’t have to deal with pinching or discomfort during your hikes.
One of the standout characteristics of these shoes is their waterproof design. Whether you encounter puddles on the trail or unexpected rain, rest assured that your feet will remain dry. The rugged rubber sole enhances traction across various terrains, giving you confidence while navigating slippery or uneven surfaces.
However, it's worth noting that while the shoe's low profile makes it easy to wear, some users have reported that it lacks the ankle support typically provided by taller hiking boots. Additionally, those who prefer a snug fit may want to consider sizing down, as the relaxed fit can run larger than expected.
Overall, the Skechers Men's Selmen-Enago Trail Oxford Hiking Shoe is a versatile option for outdoor adventurers looking for a blend of comfort, durability, and style.

I usually wear an 11.5 6E shoe - my feet are extremely wide, and it is difficult to find shoes that are comfortable. These fit well, even though not listed as 6E they have enough width and flexibility for my super wide feet. They have good grip for winter and are very comfortable. Great for those with wide feet.
These shoes exceeded my expectations. The warmth, comfort, and water resistant quality made them perfect for hiking around in cold slushy and muddy conditions. I will buy again.
I gave it a second rainproof coat and held up well in moderate rain over three days of camping. Easy to put on for kids since below ankle high, light weight, toe box is wide enough, and sole is thick enough your don’t feel rocks under foot. Some trouble keeping laces tied while hiking.
I like Sketchers Shoes for comfort & these come VERY stiff, but don't give up on them right away. After some wear they do loosen up and start to feel like good ol Sketchers tennis shoes. As far as durability I haven't had them long enough, BUT they feel sturdy & well put together, I especially like the thick soles & the water resistance material
If you like memory foam sneakers, you'll probably like these. My first time trying them. I don't like the way they feel. For me, as my feet start sinking into the foam, my toes feel like my socks are all bunch up around them For the first 3 weeks I kept taking them off in stores and pulling my socks up as tight as possible thinking they were the problem. Then I thought, "Well maybe because they're tight for being extra wide that they're squishing my toes." It took a bit before realizing it was the memory foam forming around my toes. If you don't like certain socks because of the seams...you'll likely hate these sneakers. Even now after some months of break-in period, they bug me. Sad thing is, I bought two pairs. One regular, one waterproof. They both have the exact same problems...narrow and that uncomfortable feeling at the toes. The waterproof ones really retain the heat. Makes sense. Just something to remember. I didn't buy them specifically for waterproofing, I just wanted a pair for general use and one for working outside. I'll keep wearing them though. I'll try and get used to the toe discomfort.
These boots are great for hiking trail or every day use. Not too stiff, just right. Comfortable and true to size.
I liked the shoes, they were exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately the sole from one of the shoes started coming off. Skechers has a two year warranty so I contacted Amazon to see if they would honor, they would not, and told me to contact Skechers. I contacted Skechers and they made me give them an inordinate amount of information about the shoe AND I had to ship them back to get a new ones. They do NOT cover shipping. It cost me $30 to ship from Ohio to California. Not very good customer service in my opinion. Very disappointed in this experience.I would like to add to this review. After I spent $30 shipping these back, here was the response months later:We received the items you sent for review from our Quality Assurance department. After careful inspection, it was determined that the item/s are not defective, as the damage could be due to several factors, including storage, maintenance, and use. My son wore this shoe exclusively while he had others to choose from. The front sole became unglued. But this Boy Scout loved the outdoorsy look and capability. Hiked in the PA mountains and he glued it back together. I am buying this shoe again. Kids are brand conscious but this shoe does without the obvious branding, which we like.
