The Salewa Mountain Trainer Lite Mid GTX in women's Premium Navy/Blue Fog is designed to elevate your hiking experience. This shoe combines lightweight design with durability, allowing you to traverse various terrains with ease. The upper is constructed using a highly durable synthetic material complemented by suede inserts that enhance stability, making it an ideal choice for rocky paths.
What sets these shoes apart is the GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining, which ensures your feet remain dry while still allowing breathability. The half-height boot construction, paired with the innovative 3F system, connects the shaft, sole, and heel, providing you with a comfortable, supportive, and flexible fit.
In terms of cushioning, the EVA midsole offers excellent shock absorption and rebound, reducing fatigue on long hikes. The flexible ankle shaft and rubber toe cap enhance protection without compromising freedom of movement, while the climbing lacing system allows for precise adjustments, particularly beneficial when navigating technical terrains.

If you are seeking versatility in your outdoor footwear, the Salewa Mountain Trainer Lite Mid GTX stands out as an exceptional choice. It excels in adaptability across various terrains, from muddy trails to rocky inclines and icy ground. The Pomoca outsole provides traction that is both reliable and designed to accommodate natural foot movements.
The GORE-TEX lining is a significant contributor to this shoe's functionality, ensuring your feet stay dry without trapping heat. This balance of waterproofing and breathability makes it perfect for three-season use. However, be prepared for a potential break-in period; some users may find the shoes initially stiff.
Another commendable aspect is the climbing lacing system, which enhances fit and control, particularly useful when navigating challenging landscapes. The combination of a shock-absorbing EVA midsole and a rubber toe cap protects your feet against impacts while allowing for unrestricted mobility—all essential features if you plan on tackling technical hikes.

Extremely comfortable, great ankle support, and flexible in just the right way for a trekking boot. Great breathability as well, and excellent grip on all terrain. Runs true to size, no need to size up for extra room for backpacking socks foot swelling etc. Also the colors are much nicer in person — the lacing & highlights are a neon coral.
Love the boot. Will re-order. Not true to size. Measured foot and order same size as running and trail shoes. Too small. Need one full larger.
The fit is good. It has a nice slim look but plenty of toe room for me. A very comfortable boot right out of the box.
Love them
I was charged for a NEW pair of salewa boots, lm not paying for a used pair.
Pleasantly surprised. Hard to find a lighter hiker that will accommodate a narrow foot/heel. Sturdy and feet have stayed dry so far even in deep slushy snow.
I loved how the shoes look and the fit, but they wore out extremely fast after only a little over a month of use. Lots of fraying of the material which turned into holes. Their return policy doesn’t accept returns or give refunds after 30 days, so I now have $200 boots that are falling apart after a very short time with them. I guess if you only hike once or twice a month they’ll last you awhile, but I wouldn’t recommend these boots if you’re hiking often.
Great product
