The Ryka Women's Summit Trail Hiking Shoe excels in multiple categories, catering specifically to women's unique anatomical needs. The fit is one of its standout features; the narrower heel and overall feminine design cater to those who often struggle with standard hiking shoes that can feel clunky or ill-fitting.
In terms of comfort, the plush cushioning provided by the PlushFit heel collar combined with an anatomical insole offers a supportive experience, making it easier to tackle longer trails without discomfort. The lightweight EVA midsole absorbs shock effectively, reducing fatigue during extended hikes.
When it comes to traction, the TreadTech lug outsole truly shines. With its innovative lug pattern, you will find yourself confidently navigating rocky paths or muddy trails, knowing that each step is secure.
However, it's worth noting that some users have reported potential sizing inconsistencies, so trying on the shoes beforehand or checking return policies is advisable. Additionally, while the shoe’s cushioned feel is generally appreciated, a few may find they require a short break-in phase.
Overall, if you're searching for a performance-driven hiking shoe made for women, the Ryka Women's Summit Trail Hiking Shoe is a solid investment that prioritizes support, comfort, and functionality.

The fit is not narrow nor wide and is comfortable. The color is a rose beige and will complement many of my ensembles. I am happy with this purchase.
Very cute tennis shoes! They are not the most comfortable shoes I've worn but are comfy enough to keep. Fair arch support and very nice interior construction. I'd buy them again.
I'm a fan of Ryka for my wide feet. I bought these for camping/hiking so I'd stop getting my walking/running sneakers dirty on trails. They were super comfy right out of the box. I went on a 3 mile hike the 2nd day I wore them and no pain anywhere. No break-in period needed. It was a super easy and flat hike in dry conditions, so no comments yet on more challenging terrain.
The darker toned tan detailing throughout the shoe, and on the front, peeled by the 2nd day I wore them. They were the only work appropriate shoes I had at the time, so I continued to wear them. They were worsened by the day. They looked like a year into heavy use by the end of the month.
I like ryka sneakers. I wear only ryka sneakers . They are comfortable & have a good sized toe box which I need. But this pair of ryka sneakers are too small in the toe box. They hurt my toes. I ordered a different pair from ryka & they fit well. Comfortable & roomy toe box. Maybe it's the specific style that didn't fit well. I will still wear only ryka sneakers.
These shoes are comfortable and a lovely teal color. I really like the stretchy part along the heel which I find very comfy while it cradles my ankle. The wide fits my wide foot well.I recommend these.
My podiatrist directed me to wear a light hiking/trail shoe post-surgery to stabilize my foot. It works perfectly for this purpose and I plan to keep wearing them after it’s no longer a requirement. These shoes were comfortable from the first wear and are true-to-size. I would purchase them again.
I liked the wide toe area but these shoes were just not comfortable on my feet. Unfortunately, returned.
