Product | Material | Sole Type | Design |

Roper Men's Cotter Shoe | Faux Leather | Rubber | Slip-On |
Clarks Men's Escalade Step Slip-On | Leather | Rubber | Slip-On |
Nike Men's Air Monarch IV | Leather/Synthetic | Rubber | Lace-Up |
The Roper Men's Cotter Shoe excels in terms of comfort, thanks to its soft synthetic lining and flexible sole, allowing for natural movement. The low-top shaft height also contributes to a relaxed fit, making it an excellent option for casual outings or even daily tasks around town.
In terms of design, the tan tumbled faux leather presents a classic look that pairs well with jeans, chinos, or even shorts. Its sleek and modern appearance makes it easy to integrate into your existing wardrobe, while the non-marking outsole adds practicality for indoor use.
For those who value ease of access, the slip-on feature is a significant advantage. You can quickly put them on without the hassle of laces, making it perfect for individuals always on the go. The removable comfort insole is another thoughtful touch, allowing you to customize the level of support depending on your needs or to replace it with orthotic alternatives if necessary.
However, potential buyers should be aware that the sizing tends to run a bit wider, which might not suit everyone, especially those with narrow feet. Additionally, while the available colors are appealing, they are somewhat limited compared to what’s offered by other competitors in the market.
Overall, the Roper Men's Cotter Shoe is a strong contender in the casual footwear category, perfectly balancing comfort, style, and practicality, making it worth considering for your next shoe purchase.

Love this shoe for casual and work use. Looks good, very comfortable, easy to maintain. Most importantly, it's made of synthetic material that looks like leather. Great value. Not enough time to rate durability. I hope it lasts.
I originally wanted another brand’s black ostrich leather shoes, but they were around $300 and out of stock.Nice but way way out of my price range. Then I found these for a fraction of the cost, and very similar style.Received them quickly. Very durable and stylish shoes !
I've worn Roper Performance slip on shoes for over 17 yrs. They are my everyday work shoe, so when I saw these, I had to try them.I always remove original insoles and replace them with Spenco flat green insoles, as I wear orthotics. These shoes work so well with my orthotics and are so much lighter then the Performance Roper. They are very comfortable to walk in and I have no issues with the sole. Some reviews suggested they did not like the sole as they felt everything through them. I did not have this issue.Insoles play a huge role in foot comfort. The softer the insole, the harder on your feet! Are feet are designed to walk on flat ground and the more cushion you put inside your shoe, the harder it is on your feet and legs.In closing, I highly recommend these shoes for a lightweight casual shoe. I would suggest replacing the cushioned insole and going with a flat Spenco green, or a high quality orthotic insole. But the soles themselves I liked. I walked across multiple surface types and not once did I feel any discomfort. I liked they so much, I just purchased another pair!
After owning a pair of these previously, I am highly disappointed in this shoes quality, footbed can be felt while wearing. Not real leather. Very disappointed in this cheap version of the Roper Performance shoe.
hard to be a true hiking shoe and have no water resistance
Second pair I own. One now used for working out in the garden, yard work, hiking, etc. The other for casual wear. Comfortable slip on shoe/boot.
These are NOT Hiking Shoes. My husband wore these 4 times. Purchased these December 15th today is January 2nd ( shoes are only 17 days old). Partially my fault for not realizing they were synthetic, but I would have never thought Ropers wouldn’t be real leather. Roper use to make quality products, you have lost my business. I will never buy Roper again.
The fit was great right from the start. I have high arches and add arch support inserts to all my foot wear. These shoes work great to add the extra support and remain comfortable.
