The Propet Men's Valais Waterproof Hikers are designed to provide exceptional support and comfort while tackling tough outdoor conditions. The combination of suede and nubuck materials offers durability, while the gusseted zip closure and adjustable strap ensure a secure fit, making these hikers perfect for rugged terrains.

This is complemented by the OrthoLite® X40™ footbed, which sets the industry standard for high rebound performance with an elasticity rating exceeding 40%. The EVA midsole provides cushioning and stability, alongside the toe guard for added protection. When it comes to outdoor activities, having the right footwear can make or break your experience. The Propet Men's Valais Waterproof Hikers excel in multiple aspects, particularly in their ability to keep your feet dry and comfortable over long distances. The use of premium materials like suede and nubuck not only contributes to their robust build but also adds an appealing aesthetic to the design.
The gusseted zip closure combined with the adjustable strap ensures a custom fit, preventing slippage even on uneven ground. One of the standout features is the OrthoLite® X40™ footbed; this technology provides cushioning that effectively absorbs impact, reducing fatigue on long treks. On rough trails, the EVA midsole helps in providing additional support, and the toe guard serves as a protective barrier against rocks and debris.
Moreover, the Vibram® Arctic Grip® outsole is engineered for outstanding traction on wet and icy surfaces, making these hikers versatile for different weather conditions. Whether you're navigating through muddy paths or slippery rocks, you can trust that the Valais boots will perform reliably.
However, it's worth noting that some users may find the initial fit a bit stiff until they are fully broken in. Additionally, if you're seeking ultra-lightweight options, you might want to explore alternatives, as the Valais tend to be slightly heavier. Overall, these hiking boots are a formidable choice for anyone serious about trekking without compromising comfort or support.

They walk great clocking in 5 miles a day, good outdoors The zipper occasionally fails, but so far easy fix after only 6 months.
I thought xx-wide is supposed to be 6e by standard but it seems like this one is 4e. It's just not wide enough if you have serious duck feet. The quality control is also really poor. One of the velcro tape wasn't sewn on the right spot and doesn't line up well with the strap. It's a cute design. It won't stretch as much as leather because it's mostly synthetic. There are better shoes out there if you are regular width for this price range.
