The Oboz Women's Katabatic Low Hiking Shoe stands out primarily due to its impressive combination of lightweight materials and high-performance features. Ideal for fast-paced hiking, this shoe allows you to move quickly without compromising comfort. The innovative O FIT Insole delivers a tailor-made fit, accommodating the natural shape of your foot, enhancing both precision and stability.
Moreover, the shoe's B-DRY waterproofing technology ensures that your feet remain dry, even during those unexpected encounters with muddy patches or light rain. Its breathable mesh construction further contributes to maintaining a comfortable internal environment by allowing perspiration to escape, making it suitable for long hikes in varying weather conditions.
When considering grip, the Katabatic’s multi-directional lug pattern excels in providing exceptional traction on diverse surfaces, enabling smooth acceleration and controlled braking. This means you can focus more on enjoying your hike rather than worrying about slipping on loose gravel or wet trails.
However, while the shoe performs admirably, it's essential to note that those with wider feet might find it a bit snug. Additionally, if you're used to extreme arch support, you may need to consider adding custom insoles for prolonged hikes. Overall, the Oboz Women's Katabatic Low Hiking Shoe is an excellent choice for hikers looking for a balance of speed, comfort, and durability on the trail.

So comfortable! Goldilocks toe box- not to big, not too small. Great tread support. All the new cushy type shoes are nice, but for long hikes I need a bit more solid tread.. LOVE these!
I wear this when it rains or when it is snowing or just plain cold. Nicely made shoes but I really need them in a 11.5. Please offer these in 11.5 . Twelves are too big. I have two pair and sometimes they hurt my long middle toe.
Heels too wide for a woman's foot. The sizing is really a lie. I measured the width and length and 8 1/2 is actually a 9. I ordered both 8 and 1/2 and 9 and they are identical.
They came and I could tell they were a previous return but decided to try them. I wore them a little in the house for 3 days.. on carpet they were great. Unfortunately. on the 4th day I wore them for a 2.5 mile walk around my neighborhood and I was limping by the time I got home. My knees hurt and my toes were squished.Returned them.
