The Oboz Sawtooth X Low Waterproof Men's Shoe stands out in terms of functionality and outdoor performance. Designed with both avid hikers and casual walkers in mind, it features advanced waterproof technology that effectively repels moisture while allowing breathability. The rubber sole provides excellent traction, making it suitable for various terrains.
In terms of comfort, the lace-up closure allows for easy adjustability, ensuring you achieve the perfect fit for long hikes. Additionally, the shoe is machine washable, offering convenience for those who frequently trek through muddy paths.
However, if you're aiming for ultra-lightweight footwear, the Oboz Sawtooth may feel slightly bulky. These are the most comfortable and durable hiking shoes I’ve ever owned.
This will make my 6th pair of Oboz Sawtooth shoes. 5 that I have used as my every day shoes and 1 that I built a pair of roller skates with. The shoe still provides good support. The problem is in the corners that have been cut and the quality of materials used in the Sawtooth X. The provided laces are short and thin relative to past versions. The lack of lace loops, replaced by punched holes in the upper material, make these not only harder to tighten and loosen when taking off the shoes but also make the shoes fit different. They are stiffer and not nearly as comfortable. I would have gladly paid a bit more for a shoe that provided the quality and design I have found in legacy Oboz Sawtooth shoes but given the lowering of this shoe model to the level of commodity shoe wear, I will be looking for a new go to shoe.
I bought these for a combination walking/hiking trip in southern Italy with very mixed terrain. After a week of trail work, including dirt, rocks, and in-town, I am very satisfied with the purchase. The fit me well right out the box, but took a few miles to soften them up, which I did in advance of the trip. Once out on the trails they felt great: light weight, but with lots of support. Great purchase!
Had a hard time finding the correct size. I wear 13. Had to go to 14 for this shoe. Fits well very well made shoe
Worst shoes ever hurt my feet sending them back my shoe size has not changed in years but these shoes seem to to small
Returned - even the wide version is a bit too narrow
Shopped 100s of shoes, bought and returned two other pairs on Amazon, and these finally fit like a 9.5 wide like my running shoes do. Wore these for our Alaskan cruise end of May/early June. I am roughly 275lbs, with flat feet, and I wore these around the towns and hiked a mild/medium trail (Rainbird hiking trail in Ketchikan, AK). My feet hurt at the end of the day a little, but nothing more than if I was on my feet all day in my running shoes. They did keep my feet dry from the elements, and yes they were pretty warm with normal one layer of socks. I would recommend these for staying warm and dry in cold/rain conditions, but hiking in warm/rain conditions you would sweat as much as you would if you had a pair that wasnt waterproof.
Fit was too tight even though I had Oboz before. This model has more padding so it’s a tighter fit. They reviews said it runs small but as an Oboz wearer, I thought they would match my current model. They didn’t and I sent them back. Ended up getting my other Oboz model.
