I rated these snow boots a solid 5 stars with the caveat that they exceeded my expectations for my specific situation. I live in East TN, so we might get from 1 to 4 decent snowfalls per winter, last year being the exception with a lot of snow and ice for our region.I wanted a decent pair of snow boots so I could go out and play with the family and still not have to spend more money than I felt necessary for a handful of uses per year. Since my feet have always gotten cold very easily, good insulation and waterproofing is quite important. We just got back in from playing and shoveling the drive from our second notable snowfall for the year, and I am very happy with my purchase. Temps have been in the low to mid 20's and the snow has been very wet. These boots kept my feet warm and dry for at least 1 1/2 hours while outside.I normally wear a 9 1/2 so I purchased these in a 10 to allow for a thick winter sock. This fit me perfectly and so far my feet have felt like I was indoors the entire time of being outside. They were as comfortable on my feet as I would expect such a heavy, insulated boot to feel meaning my feet did not feel unsupported or fatigued. These boots seem to be constructed fairly well and I'm hoping for several seasons of use. I recommend these without hesitation to anyone in a similar situation of needed a good pair of waterproof winter boots for a few sessions a year of play/work and to throw in the vehicle when travelling in sketchy conditions. If I lived in an area that saw more snowfall and on average colder temps during the winter, I would likely spend the money on Merrell or The North Face as I have no issue with paying for a known high quality item when the use justifies. However, with the limited amount of use I just do not see how I could have gotten more for my money than with these Northsides. In comparison, my wife had purchased another similar priced waterproof winter boot at Belk during a Christmas sale last year, and her feet were very cold when we went back inside after being out in the snow. She immediately started looking for Northside in her size.
Seems like a well-constructed product for the price. I ordered 1/2 size larger, but these were still too narrow for my feet. I typically don't order a Wide or "E" width and can get away with it, but not on these.
Nice boot for the price feet been warm an dry
These are quite nice overall. They, as with all boots hit a point after a few hours that they become a bit uncomfortable, but not bad at all. They fit is great, the protection is great. I keep them in my vehicle all the time and they have served me well in heavy snow.
NOT GOOD😡, the worst boot I've ever bought.
Bought these boots for ice fishing in MN. Thought they were suppose to be waterproof and good for -50 degrees. First time wore them on ice it was 35 degrees outside. First hole I augered in ice water splashed on boot. In less than a minute my foot was wet. Other boot leaked after a while from snow melting on boot The boots leaked! They are definitely not waterproof. Within a couple hours my feet were wet and cold. Literature they came with said -50 when you are active. You have to be jogging or keep moving a lot. For sure you don't want to get these boots wet because they do leak.
When these boots came I shocked because I didn't actually expect too quality workmanship for the price!. Warm waterproof. My husband likes them super better than his 250 boots he purchased at Cabelea. Please let me add they r super light weight compared to most!
Nice boots, but tight fit. Ordered 1 1/2 sizes larger and still too narrow.
