When it comes to hiking footwear, the Merrell Women's Moab 2 Waterproof Hiking Shoe stands out for several reasons. Let's delve into different aspects:
Comfort: The minute you slip on this shoe, you will appreciate the softness of the pigskin leather combined with the breathable mesh lining. The Kinetic Fit ADVANCED insole offers fantastic arch support, which is crucial for longer treks.
Traction: Equipped with a Vibram sole, these shoes provide excellent grip on various terrains. Whether you're navigating rocky paths or muddy trails, you can trust that your footing will remain secure.
Waterproofing: The advanced waterproof membrane is highly effective, keeping your feet dry during unexpected rain showers and creek crossings. Plus, it allows moisture escape, preventing sweat buildup inside the shoe.
Durability: Constructed with high-quality materials, the Moab 2 is built to withstand the rigors of outdoor adventures, ensuring longevity if properly cared for.

I use these more for easy hiking as I have a bad ankle, but they are comfy and have nice support and warm in the winter. I love all the cushioning in the heel and the sturdiness of the boot itself.
Especially like the waterproof feature.
I ordered these because winter is coming and my old Merrell shoes are no longer “dry”; my husband and I do trail riding with a 4x4 group and I needed something other than my hiking boots to keep my feet dry.I’ve been wearing these around the house and outside since I received them. They are very supportive and comfortable. I have a low arch and have suffered with plantar fasciitis on occasion, so support, a good fit, and comfort is a huge deal for me. Recommended for outdoor sports - not terribly slim looking or sexy at all, but they are built to get the job done.
This is my fourth pair of hiking Merrell boots and I have loved them all, very good quality, comfortable, never lost shape or color despite being often dropped in the washing machine. Over time the waterproof feature decreased but this can be understood. Loved my lace free boots too. The new ones are also supposed to be waterproof but I had not yet had an opportunity to check, they have traditional laces which are not as easy to fasten and seem a bit heavy, you know you have an additional couple of pounds on your feet.
They are very comfortable but almost didn't fit. They run small length wise so order at least half size up. I normally wear a 10 so that's what I ordered and my toes are almost touching the end so I have no room to accommodate swelling. If I didn't need these for a trip soon I would have returned for a 10.5. I have narrow long feet and my heels slip a bit but not bad. I normally do look for 19 narrows in shoes but work ok. I have to really tighten the laces but they will do. If you wide feet definitely order a wide and maybe a whole size up. Overall I'm happy with them. They are very stable and pretty lightweight.
I always wear Merrell hiking shoes. They fit true to size and are very durable. I like the waterproof protection. The colors are really nice. I use these at work. They would be better if they had more cushioning but I still give them 5 stars since this is my third pair over many years.
I have really ugly feet. Size 10 boats but narrow. Everyone and I mean everyone has noticed and laughed at these shoes. They are shaped exactly liked boxes. They are also a little heavy.. That said they are not that uncomfortable with big socks. And pretty warm so not returning them. Huge outdoors person. Bottom line, I also have skinny legs so that makes them look even more like clown shoes. That said, I'm keeping them
I tried on these shoes at REI with the help of an associate and tested on the incline in-store. I also tried Keens but these were the best by far- fit like a glove. Came home and ordered these on Amazon for $60 less! They arrived in perfect condition. The shoebox and tissue paper were perfectly intact, looked brand new like in-store. I’ve worn these on two hikes now, and they held up perfectly! One of them was through water and I was shocked at how well the waterproof was. My ankle issues (wearing beat down old sneakers on the first 10 hikes of the summer, just getting into it!) have subsided wearing these; they have great arch support. The colors of the mint are so pretty especially when wet. 100/10 recommend these hiking shoes, especially for a first pair! The associate at REI advised that if you’ve never worn higher ankle boots and aren’t going out on 8+ mile hikes, it would bother you more than anything.
