The Merrell Moab Flight Low A/C Hiking Shoe stands out thanks to its lightweight design, making it an ideal choice for kids who love to explore. The breathable textile upper ensures that feet remain cool during warmer weather, while the cushioned EVA midsole absorbs impact during activities, providing all-day comfort.
One of the highlights of this hiking shoe is its QuntuamGrip outsole. Designed to offer optimal traction, it helps prevent slips on various terrains—a crucial feature for active children. However, keep in mind that despite its rugged build, these shoes are not waterproof, which could be a factor to consider depending on where your little one will be hiking.
The toggle closure mechanism is a thoughtful touch that enhances the fit, allowing kids to easily put on and take off their shoes. Nevertheless, younger children may find adjusting the speed laces a bit challenging, so adult assistance might be required at times.
In terms of style, the Burgundy color not only adds a modern flair but also complements a variety of outdoor outfits. With additional features like an anti-stink lining and FLOATPRO FOAM footbed, this shoe ticks all the boxes for comfort and hygiene—making it an excellent pick for active kids.

My daughter wore these for 2 weeks and the laces broke and can't be fixed, which was the main appeal of this style of shoe for us. Not impressed with the quality.
My daughter doesn’t like to hike in boots but I also needed something sturdier than a plain tennis shoe. I found these and she loved them. We didn’t have to worry about laces coming undone and they were light and comfortable.
The bungee laces are too thin, break easily and the overall product is not holding up well, with fraying threads and fraying edges all over. These have been very lightly used.
Perfect shoe for cross country
Kiddo needed some shoes for camp, and no one local had anything that wasn’t expensive. These were nice when they came, but they were super hard to get on. Even after loosening up the straps as much as possible, kiddo still had a hard time getting them on. I tried to help and ut wasn’t much better. Besides that, they are good quality and did the job.
Not sure if I got knock offs or what, but what I got was no where in quality that I'm used to with Merrell nor what is pictured. The image shows thick cords on the shoes. What I got was not that. The cords were super thin and the shoe looked cheaper overall with rough edges.
I'm really happy with these sneakers. I am an adult woman and wear size 8.5 or 39 in women's shoes. I got these in "big kid's" size 6.5, and they fit perfectly. The are bright and cheerful, and not juvenile looking. I believe Merrell also makes this style in adult sizing.I just wore them for a 3 mile walk, and they were perfect. Nothing rubbed or hurt. They're really lightweight. I'll be taking these on a trip to Spain soon, where I'll really put them to the test. There isn't much arch support, but I prefer that. The lace system works really well. Once you get them adjusted with the push button, you can just slip them on and off. I got the burgundy, which has a teal tongue, pink laces, and green eyelets. They're really fun. The sole offers a lot of traction, and when I first put them on they were really squeaky on my wood floors, but that didn't last. Now they're quiet.I plan on climbing a lot of hills and stairs in these. I'll update this review if they don't perform perfectly.
this shoes fit well and are light weight but the quality is low and they are falling apart. I got both of my kids a pair in August. They use them for PE class almost exclusively, meaning they only wear them every third school day. My oldest daughters have already been thrown away. save your money and get something better.
