Performance: The Merrell Moab Speed excels in both wet and dry conditions, making it a versatile choice for hikers. The Gore-Tex membrane does an outstanding job of keeping moisture at bay while still allowing perspiration to escape, so your feet remain comfortable over extended periods of wear.
Comfort: With a well-cushioned footbed and supportive midsole, they're incredibly comfortable for long hikes. However, some users recommend trying them on first as they might feel a bit tight initially, requiring a short break-in period.
Durability: These shoes are built to last, featuring reinforced areas that protect against rocks and roots. Users have reported that even after multiple hiking trips, the shoes show minimal signs of wear and tear.
Aesthetics: The sleek black design makes the Moab Speed a stylish option for those who appreciate functional footwear without sacrificing looks. They can easily transition from hike to casual outings.
Sustainability: Merrell has taken strides to incorporate recycled materials into the shoe’s construction, making this a great choice for environmentally-conscious consumers.

I use Moab trail hikers all the time as an outdoor work shoe - for which they are excellent. That said - switching into the Speed afterwards is like changing into a (v e r y supportive) slipper. wildly comfortable. awesome, cushy shoe. PLENTY good as a runner - and easy on the knees/back as a daily shoe. I don't think I've tried one that's any better.
product as described, nice feeling shoe
I purchased these shoes for a recent trip to Costa Rica. They endured the jungle and were super comfortable. The only downside is that they seemed to be a bit slippery on wet surfaces, more than my usual hiking shoes. Not sure if it was the material of the sole or what made the difference. Would highly recommend for dry hiking.
Hiking
Bought these on Feb 17, and by June 10 they’re not wearing well. I walk mostly on hard surfaces, about 3.5 - 5 miles a day. I’m not a big or heavy person. They are lightweight and pretty comfortable but I’d like to have got more than 3 and a half months out of them before starting to question their quality.
Had those for a few months now, hiked and walked around. All in all very mediocre shoes, not very breatheble, but not too warm, not uncomfortable, but not too comfy as well. Soles do have good grip. For shoes that cost more than a hundred bucks, they're just no there.
