These are the best shoes of any kind I’ve ever had, period. I like to leave them tied and slip in every time, only pulling up the heel and I’m off and running (or walking the dog) so these are quick and easy that way. The quality of the materials is superb. Not an all weather shoe, but the grip is excellent on slippery surfaces. Highly recommended.
Fit a glove and are very comfortable
These are really excellent shoes. I have had them for over a year. I live in Guatemala and I hike volcanoes and even just walking into town I go down a broken, rocky path. They have really good grip on dry, wet, rocky or muddy surfaces. After a year the are still as good as new. They are very comfortable. Just yesterday I was hiking for about five hours over difficult terraine and got home tired but my feet were just fine. I will necer buy another brans as long as Merrel keeps up this fit / quality / price combo

These are so comfortable.
I don't know what it is with Merrells, but it seems like every shoe is different from the others even if they're identical type and size. I bought these in a size 9 and they were extremely tight. So I bumped up to a 9.5. They fit, but they seem too loose. Now I have another type of Merrell hiking shoes in size 9 and they fit great. I don't get it. But I'm keeping these, though, because I'm taking them camping and I usually wear thicker socks. Good shoes, just Merrell seems to have a problem with consistent and universal sizing. At least for me.
I love Merrell and it's great for hiking and general wear. I have three pairs. But when I bought a new pair, but this hurts my toes a lot, even though I try to get a wider one. I am turning this one and probably looking for different one.
