This is the 4th pair of these I have bought for my husband, he wears them to work every day and a nice pair for wearing out and about. They are light weight hiker looking shoe, very comfortable.
I am very hard on my foot ware because of the type of work I do. The shoes are subjected to water, chemicals, dirt and so on. These are the most durable and comfortable work shoes to date.
I use these at work (SRO) and walk any where from 3 to 5 miles a day in them. I switched to these from the Merrell Moab's only because they were half the cost and I am not outside enough to justify the extra cost for waterproofing. They are not quite as cushioned as the Moab's but seem lighter. I figure I get about 900 miles out of a pair.
Since 2018 my footwear selection has been made up almost exclusively of Merrell products and when I decided that it was time to add a tactical shoe to my selection of work footwear, Merrell was, again, my first choice. For years I have alternating between my 8" and 6" MOAB 2 tactical boots but when I decided to ditch the 6" boots and go with shoes I decided to give these a try because I'm just not a big fan of low top hikers.I am so glad I went with these too. They are so incredibly comfortable because they are lightweight and ultra breathable. I've been wearing them at work for a couple weeks now and I couldn't be more pleased. When I get home from work and kick my off my shoes, my feet aren't soaking wet and it doesn't feel like I've just removed two boat anchors from them. Obviously these shoes don't have true "ankle support" but I've worn these while working a couple of special events at a bar and when I woke up the next morning, my ankles were nowhere near as sore as times in the past when I made the "wrong" decision to wear my 6" boots, instead of my 8" boots, to a post or special event that called for a lot of standing and/or walking. These are great shoes and, if I had anything negative to say about them, I would say that the insoles they come with aren't the best. If I hadn't already decided to go with a different brand's insoles before I even ordered these, I would have preferred for them to come with some of the orange insoles Merrell puts in all of their other tactical products.
I bought these for work as a police officer in a beach town. So far they grip very well and are light enough for hot weather. If they hold up like this for a while they are a very good shoe.
Great buy. Out of the box comfort. True to size. If you think you’re a wide, get the wide. Excellent summer patrol footwear. Early delivery as well. Highly recommend.
Very good quality shoe runs a little on the small side
This is like the low budget line of Merrell, which reflects the low price. There’s other non-name brand shoes with much better cushion and ergonomics than this shoe. I returned them.
