Detailed Review

The KEEN womens Voyageur Hiking Shoe excels in delivering both comfort and functionality for outdoor enthusiasts. The waterproof leather construction effectively blocks moisture, making it suitable for wet conditions while the breathable mesh allows for ventilation during warmer hikes.

When it comes to traction, the 4mm multi-directional lugs provide superior grip, whether you're traversing rocky paths or muddy trails. This characteristic is essential for maintaining balance and assurance on varied terrains.

Support is another strong point for this hiking shoe. The stability support shank helps navigate uneven surfaces, reducing fatigue during extended use. Coupled with the injected heel capture system, you can expect a secure fit that keeps your heel in place, enhancing overall stability.

Comfort-wise, the low-profile design paired with a padded tongue and collar promotes a snug yet comfortable fit, perfect for long treks. The removable metatomical footbed design ensures that your arches are well-supported and cradled, adapting to the shape of your foot for a personalized feel.

While the KEEN womens Voyageur does have a few drawbacks, such as potentially requiring a break-in period, these issues are minor compared to its myriad advantages. Overall, if you're seeking a reliable hiking shoe that balances waterproofing, comfort, and traction, the KEEN womens Voyageur is certainly worth considering.

Perfect!!

Thanks to the lady who hiked in the Grand Canyon she sealed the deal for me! All of her positive remarks were 100% accurate. The toe box is perfectly wide enough to be comfortable for my senior widening feet without looking clumsy. No break-in was necessary and could do my 2x a day power walks with my big dog immediately. They are totally safe in snow and on ice! They support my feet and are warm in sub zero weather. Even the shoe laces are a design that holds without slipping and loosening to become untied. I have been so tired of discomfort during my walks and am elated by these shoes!!!! I had bought Merrill hiking shoes (second pair) over a year ago and sadly they started hurting my toes due to the toe shape that seemed ok when younger. Now I am a true fan of the KEEN hiking shoes. YAY!

Very good support

I almost donated these shoes. The right one felt fabulous. The left one was uncomfortable at the outer aspect in front of my heel. Other than that they felt sturdy, fit my arches great. I then read a review here that mentioned the same problem. That individual bought the “ miracle insoles” sold on Amazon. I tried them. They fixed me right up. Both shoes fit and feel great. I believe some of these shoes may have an odd insole making trouble. I was amazed at the difference and thrilled to have found a fix. I’d check out the insoles too. I plan on putting them in many of my shoes.

No break-in needed, no complaints on wear- size issue

I know of Keen's respected reputation and all of my co-workers wear these for work and personal use (we do field work). I had waited a long time to buy a pair and a recent two week trip to Vietnam finally spurred my purchase. I literally ordered these online without try-on less than a week before departure. I poured through reviews here and other places. This was definitely the best price. Color was true to appearance. They are a light weight shoe which was critical for packing and wearing. I usually wear a 9.5... in running shoes I wear a 10 because one foot is larger than the other and my feet expand/swell with exertion. So on these, I chose the 9.5. I wore basic white athletic socks and they were just too big. I didn't care for the fit or look on my foot - BUT - after 12 miles of hiking/walking in the Sapa mountains - I didn't have any rubbing or discomfort. So my only recommendation would have been to order a half size down possibly. If I had been more responsible in ordering in a timely manner, I would've exchanged them. I didn't find them as versatile in use to go from hiking in the mountains to city-walking and not look clunky. I may have been looking for a for a more fashionable shoe that would transition and not make me feel like I was ready to hike because I was striving to pack versatile, day to night shoes and as minimal pairs as possible (I put this in here for other women trying to pack light but still feel as though they look presentable - nothing to dock the rating!). So I'm giving it 5 stars because they were comfortable despite my mis-sizing choice, they were true to appearance, lightweight and didn't cause me any problems with immediate wear and usage. If you have a wide foot or bunions, I'd imagine these to be an excellent choice. I think my expectations in appearance were not realistic since I hadn't even tried these on in the store. Looking forward to future wears with work and personal. Great quality as expected!

Great walking shoe but...

I looked high and low for the perfect walking and occasional hiking shoe. I took a chance on this model based on good reviews. I'm very picky when it comes to shoes as I have "box toes" that needs a roomy front and weak feet that need good arch and side support. When I received this pair, I was delighted by its fit, comfort, style and durability. The long search was over! It's been four months since I've been wearing the Keens 4-5 days a week around the house and for 1/2 hour morning and brief evening walks with my dog. I've been loving it . . . until now. This morning it started raining lightly as I walked my dog in my Keens. I live in Los Angeles, where we call a light sprinkle rain. In less than 5 minutes, my left toes started feeling damp. By the time I got home less than 10 minutes later, the top of my left sock and foot was wet as though it went through a marsh, which it didn't as I walked on concrete. Funny thing is, my right foot was dry. I noticed the same situation last month in Philadelphia while walking on a sidewalk covered with a light amount of snow. While the description for these Keens don't mention anything about them being waterproof, I assumed at least the toe part would be waterproof because of the heavy duty rubber layer over it. In the case of my left shoe, at least, that's not the case. Either the toe part of the shoe is indeed waterproof and my left shoe was improperly sealed or it is not waterproof and the right shoe remaining dry was a fluke. In any case, these shoes are wonderful for comfort and support, but if you need a pair that will keep your toes dry during the occasional mildly wet condition, look elsewhere. I'll have to reserve these Keens for only dry conditions and find another all-weather pair as I hate wet toes! Not that it rains much in L.A. . . .

This is my second pair. I finally wore out the first pair after 6 years. They fit well and are very comfortable.

Comfortable!

I just received these shoes today and cannot believe how good they feel right out of the box! I don't usually write reviews on products but these shoes feel great! I have a hard to fit foot that's an average heel with the ball and toes being wide but shallow top to bottom. I also have a failing arch so need some arch support but not too much... Anyway there is plenty of room in the toe box - no cramping across the ball of my foot. I feel the arch support but there aren't any pressure points. I do need to tighten the laces a bit up at the top to avoid any slippage around my heel but that worked fine. I'm best fit in a 10.5 but had to get the 11 and they don't feel too big - just right! I'm not an avid hiker but go camping in the woods with occasional long walks so I'm looking forward to wearing these comfortable shoes. Also noticed when walking around our acre of land they provide a good amount of stability even though they don't come above my ankles.
