When it comes to hiking shoes, the KEEN Women's Steens WP Hiking Shoe excels in multiple areas. Its waterproof feature is particularly noteworthy; the combination of full-grain leather and a breathable membrane effectively keeps moisture out while allowing for airflow, which is essential during longer hikes.
The traction provided by the KEEN ALL-TERRAIN outsole is impressive. You'll feel secure navigating uneven and slippery surfaces, making these shoes perfect for both casual and challenging trails. Whether crossing a stream or gripping rocky ascents, they offer fantastic stability.
Comfort is another strong selling point. The cushioned collar hugs your ankles without causing irritation, and the external stability shank ensures that you can tackle rough terrains with confidence. The removable EVA footbed also contributes to all-day comfort and effective arch support.
However, it’s worth noting that some users have reported a slight break-in period is necessary before achieving maximum comfort. Additionally, the lack of color variety might deter some buyers who prefer more style options.
Overall, the KEEN Women's Steens WP Hiking Shoe is a solid investment for anyone serious about hiking. With its robust construction and thoughtful design features, you can trust these shoes to keep up with your adventurous spirit.

I LOVE THESE SHOES! I have always loved hiking since I was a little kid and never stopped. I just always used what ever old sneakers I had around the house to hike in. But as I’ve gotten older and had kids my back and hips need more support. I’m not as young as I once was and I feel the effects of poor quality shoes on trails the next day. I never bought a pair of good quality hiking shoes before because I never had an issue or felt any pain from hiking in my shoes before. But now I do. So I started doing some digging to find the best! because I go on so pretty rugged trails and my shoes really get pushed to the limits; the park usually sneakers are falling apart after a really good hike. And so I thought if I’m going to spend a large amount of money on hiking shoes I want them to 1. Last(get my money’s worth at least) 2. Have good support. 3. Be comfortable ( good support and comfort don’t always go hand in hand ) 4. Have good traction and everything I read led me to keen! I spent months literally because it’s hard for me to spend money on myself especially on shoes and of this price I’m a cheap skate when it comes to my self for my family and my friends I don’t think twice about price if I know they want it. Any ways I looked at so many brands read reviews for months pondered watched YouTube reviews on so many brands everything still just led me to keen. If your debating like me STOP! These really are AMAZING SHOES! I am so impressed and beyond happy with them! I know these will last so many hikes I’ll get my monies worth and then some they have the most amazing traction, support and comfort! Just really blown away really wish I had started investing in good hiking shoes when I was younger. P.S I recommend looking at the sizing chart and measuring your foot to make sure you get the correct size as I did if you have never had keens . It is in CM NOT INCHES so keep that in mind. Because I have found that I wear a different size shoe depending on the brand. So just to make sure.
I have several Keens, but I have to say this one is the most comfortable one and is my favorite. It is high performance on waterproof since I accidentally been soaked by waves but my feet are dry. That’s really impressive! And there are enough space for my wide soles of feet. It is not heavy but durable. I love it!
So, I was very excited when I received these, as my last pair were done. I hike every day, and don’t expect my boots to last more than about six months, because they won’t. I did almost 8 miles in these this morning. After about five miles, my toes on my right foot, and only my right foot, started burning, and felt like they were going to explode. I’m an 8 in all shoes, but always size up in hiking boots, and ordered a 9 in these. There is a lot of room in the toe-box which I loved. What I didn’t love was that it seems five miles is about my limit in these. I hike anywhere from 8-15 miles/day, so that isn’t going to work for me. I’m sure they’re great for most people. I think I just have a weird thing with my right foot. If these didn’t hurt my feet so badly, they would have been five star shoes. They are absolutely adorable.
These shoes felt good and were true to size but the top eyelet area pressed uncomfortably into the top of my foot. Just a foot shape thing.
I purchased these shoes for a trip to Chicago. I live in Florida and I am anticipating cold weather and possible snow or icy conditions. I have been wearing the shoes and have found them very comfortable, roomy and great traction. I plan on using them to hike in Florida as well. They are perfect.
Based on other reviews, I order my usual street size 6 since I will be wearing thin socks. They are marginally too small, so I returned them. But I could tell that they would be very comfortable if they were the right size. Owned a pair Keen before and they were good.
comfortable as my regular steens. Stiff and clunky. Not happy with how fit in comparison to Steens I have worn for years.
Needed a shoe with support and decided that Keen was my answer. when shoe arrived it was very chunky. after trying it on it was very large. the label states women's 10 (which I ordered) and there is a W on the label but no width description on the box. Trying on again and realizing the extreme room in the toe area, I believe it is a mens size 8 with a new label. I worked in a shoe store years ago so I am not completely ignorant in this area. Very disappointed. this is the second return of Keen in the last 2 months. I believe I am done with them.
