The traction these shoes have is amazing, even walking down 20deg steep hard clay paths covered in dirt-pebbles like in the pic. I'd fall on my ass at least once a day with my prev shoes. I've yet to even slightly slip with these. I'm now having to unlearn being over-cautious on these paths, and have started even running down some of them. The tread design looks kind of goofy, but wow does it grab loose surfaces well!I wear 12.5 but ordered a 13 and they're slightly loose. This works out perfectly when adding a half-sock for cushioning.

Get these shoes for filming a 10 day documentary in Israel, and these shoes are absolutely essential! Easy to brake in, lightweight but tough for the hard terrain and steep slopes.
