The KEEN mens Nxis Speed Low Height Vented Hiking Shoe excels in several aspects that matter to outdoor enthusiasts. First and foremost, its traction is unparalleled, thanks to KEEN's ALL-TERRAIN rubber outsole. This feature stands out particularly in muddy or uneven environments, providing stable footing when you need it most.
Breathability is another highlight, as the performance mesh upper allows for air circulation, keeping your feet cool even during strenuous hikes. This is complemented by the shoe’s overall weight, which remains light, enabling agile movements without feeling bogged down.
The fit of the NXIS Speed is designed for comfort, featuring a speed-lace webbing system that accommodates quick adjustments and ensures a snug feel. Whether you have narrow or wider feet, the original fit facilitates natural toe splay, enhancing walking stability.
Support and comfort are paramount in a good hiking shoe, and this model does not disappoint. The removable PU insole provides cushioning, while the compression-molded EVA midsole offers added support. However, some users may find an initial break-in period necessary for achieving the desired level of comfort.
To summarize, the KEEN NXIS Speed combines comfort, durability, and excellent traction, making it a worthy investment for avid hikers looking to conquer rugged terrains.

This is the second pair of Keen hiking shoes my husband has bought. He usually does 500 miles a year and can wear them out. He does have flat feet which helps with the support they give.
Wide toe box, nice cushioning and room for inserts. Not super light, but not as heavy as waterproofs. Also feet did not heat up. Great traction and toe protection. Not designed for running, more for hiking long distance in drier climates.
Comfortable walking for many miles in warm weather. Excellent product.
fit and comfort was very important
The shoe shape, arch, and toebox are nice, just feel the shoe runs rather large. Order at least a half size smaller is my advice on this model.
Great light weight shoe. My new favorite everyday. Best on soft surfaces.
