The KEEN Men's Targhee 3 Low Height Waterproof Hiking Shoes stand out for their exceptional combination of comfort, protection, and stability. The winter-ready KEEN.DRY membrane provides a reliable shield against moisture, making long hikes in unpredictable weather much more manageable.
When it comes to traction, the ALL-TERRAIN rubber outsole performs admirably across different surface types, allowing you to navigate through muddy patches and rocky trails with confidence. A standout feature is the external support shank, which enhances balance on uneven surfaces—a vital requirement for serious hikers.
Comfort is not compromised either; the low-profile upper fits snugly while allowing enough room for your toes to splay comfortably. You will appreciate the padded tongue and collar, especially during extended wear. For those concerned about arch support, the removable metatomical footbed adjusts well to your foot’s natural contours, providing that extra layer of comfort where it counts.
However, potential buyers should note that some users report a slightly larger fit, so considering trying them on before purchase could be beneficial. Additionally, like many high-performance shoes, there might be a brief adjustment period as they break in.

This hiking shoes are amazing. I wore it for work, I’m an eight hour shift on my feet, just to get a feel for the shield. Two days later I took the them On a 14 mile hike to the top of Mount Timpanogos and back.No chafing, no blisters, no problems. Very comfortable phenomenal shoe.
I have purchased other major brands that had a significant loss of quality because they began manufacturing offshore and the shoes were not even close to their previous standards. Keen's quality has remained consistent over the last 5 years. Also if you need a shoe that has a wider toe box this shoe is for you.
I have always enjoyed these shoes in the past. I don't know what has happened with their manufacturing, but this pair of shoes was a disaster. They stated falling apart within two weeks and have not stopped. They should include a tube of industrial strength glue with each order. I am very disappointed and frustrated. I cannot recommend anyone buying these shoes.
These shoes are boxy without being clunky. They are extremely comfortable for extended wear, and work equally well for me in outdoor and indoor environments. No regrets, and I will buy Keen again.
Bought April 10th and falling apart already! Keen has been my go to shoe. A fare price for a well builtShoe but the last couple of weeks has changed all that! The quality control has left Keen. In less than 2 weeks the toe cap has failed. I can put two fingers side by side under the toe cap and touch my toes
The fit is very comfortable and the toe bumper provides excellent protection. I was looking for a waterproof ankle boot for mountain biking and I found it and would highly recommend this boot!!
Good hiking shoe! I like it.
Keen definitely makes some of the best hiking shoes but I don't know why the ankle was built so wide. With my arch support for flat feet my foot kept slipping out, which is kinda disappointing. Gonna have to return these, can't have my foot slipping out on a hike!
