When you slip into the KEEN Men's Targhee 3 Low Height Waterproof Hiking Shoe, the first thing you'll notice is the quality craftsmanship that combines functionality with style. Whether you're navigating muddy paths or rocky trails, the KEEN.DRY waterproof technology ensures your feet remain dry and comfortable. This feature is particularly beneficial during unexpected weather changes or when crossing streams.
One standout characteristic is the traction provided by the KEEN ALL-TERRAIN rubber outsole. This feature excels in offering high grip underfoot, which inspires confidence as you trek through slippery or uneven terrain. Plus, the non-marking rubber outsoles leave no traces indoors, making them versatile for both outdoor adventures and casual wear.
Support is another critical aspect where the Targhee 3 shines. The external support shank aids in balancing on uneven surfaces, while the contoured heel adds stability for your downward treks. The low-profile upper design doesn’t compromise mobility, allowing you to maneuver with ease, whether you’re climbing uphill or navigating downhill slopes.
Moreover, the comfort level is significant, thanks to the removable metatomical footbed, which molds to the natural shape of your foot, providing excellent arch support. However, keep in mind that while some users appreciate the generous toe room, others may find the break-in period slightly longer than anticipated.
Overall, the KEEN Men's Targhee 3 Low Height Waterproof Hiking Shoe delivers on its promise of comfort, durability, and performance, making it a worthy investment for any hiking enthusiast.

I previously wore out a pair of keen utility shoes. Put over 2000 miles(off-road @230+ lbs, 3 years old) on them before they started to blow out. As a result of that success I decided to buy another pair of keens. I determined that I needed a stiffer sole (rock bruises, etc) than the other pair so I opted for the target 3 low height waterproof hiking shoes. The initial fit was a bit stiff, a bit uncomfortable, and required break in. It took about 30 miles of hiking before I felt as comfortable as my utility shoe. That said I wouldn't let that stop you. I am ordering another pair for casual wear because I like them so much. Another thing is that I've been hiking through wet, nasty slushy snow and the waterproofing has been great. For the price --> I give Five stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and two thumbs up👍👍.Note: I have only put about 150 miles of cattle trail hiking on this pair of shoes.
Keen are the most comfortable shoes and durable. I have 4 pair, good for casual wear, hiking and backpacking. These shoes are high quality and pretty much true to size. The only negative thing worthy of a mention is be aware of smooth wet surfaces, especially while hiking. You can easily loose your footing. I would recommend that Keen have the option to purchase vibram sole shoes and boots.
These shoes bring supreme comfort with the first class toe room and the arch and ankle support. They are waterproof and don’t feel like ice blocks in the cold weather. Lieutenant Taylor had some great advice for Private Gump and Private Blue in Vietnam with the two rules of his company. Rule 1. Take care of your feet. Rule 2. Don’t do anything stupid, like get yourself killed. This company and these shoes can help you with Rule #1
Absolutely love these hikers! I've been wearing these for years. This purchase marks my third pair of T3's. I can attest to the durability, quality, and craftsmanship.Per my needs (support, walkability, durability, waterproofed, comfort) this product easily exceeds my requirements. Also, Keen's typically have wider toe box and can easily accommodate orthotics. My only issue is the fit as it seems that they may have changed their "lasts" as these run a tad bit larger than those of my previous order. I ordered several pair on Amazon's "try before you buy" program to ensure that I got the right fit. Overall, a very solid purchase.
From the moment you unpack these you know you spent your money well. They are very nicely put together with a solid sole and oiled leather like a doc martin boot. I slipped my foot into them for the first time and it was like , oh yeah these fit great! True to size but a very generous footbed and toe box. Always got new balance wide but these are better, a real orthotic bed. I go thru a lot of sneakers by working and hiking in the desert, and these seem like they will outlast by double or triple the use. 2 weeks in and I love them. Great product, first time buyer and i will buy Keen again.
I was looking for waterproof hiking shoes and found these on sale. I’d happily buy another pair at full price! I might try the standard width as the wides are a little too wide, but are perfect for my thick winter socks. Zero complaints otherwise. These are comfortable, sturdy, and don’t leak. I bought these for work, but I might buy a second “clean” pair to wear everywhere else!
I picked these up last minute for a disc golf tournament in Portland. Forecast was for some heavy rain. The waterproof shoes I had were kind of a discount brand I got off Amazon. They were heavy and they were water resistant but once the water broke through they were just soaked. Super bad to play disc golf in.These are fantastic. I also picked up some waterproof socks to go along with my water proof pants. Three things that worked out. Super great for the rainstorms we had during the disc golf tournament. Feet were dry socks are dry and pants were dry. That’s great. The keys had excellent gripping up and downhill climbs in the fairways where grass could be slick. They just dripped and on slightly muddy tea pads no problem.Super happy with the purchase and recommend them to everyone. They do have a higher ankle version which I have for hiking, and I have no complaints about those too.I think these are a great value for what I paid for. To be able to stand in a puddle and throw a disc and my feet stay completely dry is fantastic. Walking through wet grass does not get the toes saturated and does not get seep through into the insides and does not get my insoles and feet all damp.
These boots have been my go-to in the two months that I've had them for walking to school to pick up my daughter, taking the dog outside in the winter weather, or going to a Metropark. They feel very sturdy and do not allow water to get inside of them, even if you walk through some pretty deep puddles. I've never ha a pair of boots/shoes like this before but totally will look at other offerings from Keen's line for my family because I've been so impressed with their performance. I typically wear size 12 in men's shoes, but I did buy the 12 Wide version of this shoe just to be able to more easily wear a pair of regular socks and a pair of very heavy wool socks. Without the wool socks, they are a little bit loose, but I like the warmth of the socks being layered during the winter, even if its not a snow storm. Great product -
