LOVE these! Yes spendy - but for the amount of stability and thought that clearly went into producing them, not to mention that foot pain, is gone and I could walk in them for hours from the first wear, they have already out-valued shoes from my habitual brands. I bought a pair of Garmont hikers a decade ago, and they have been, hands down the best shoe I’ve ever purchased (@ 50% off they were a stretch for me even then), and are still in heavy rotation. I’ve only had these a few weeks, but they’ve been impressive at home and on the trail - hoping for many good years to come!
They have a narrow toe box which is unusual for Garmont so I had to size up a half-size. If you have a narrow foot going up a half size should do but any wider may require an entire size larger.
