I LOVE the looks of these shoes. I can tell just by looking at them how comfortable they would be. However, if you have a high instep like I do, you might as well forget it. I have Ecco size 41s coming out of my ears around here, and I can't even get my foot in this shoe to try it on. Doesn't do any good to try to loosen the laces, because the top of the shoe, and all the way up around the ankle, front and back, is covered with a heavy elasticized fabric. Really nice quality, but I would have to cut out the entire "cuff" of the shoe just to be able to get it on. On another note: Live and learn. I should have ordered these through Amazon instead of directly from the seller, because now I have to pay return postage, as well. I'm about to give up on finding a decent pair of comfortable tennis shoes.
