When it comes to outdoor footwear, the ECCO Men's Ultra Terrain Low Hiking Shoe stands out for its innovative use of materials and thoughtful design. The shoe's outsole, made from Michelin rubber, provides excellent traction on various surfaces, giving you the confidence to tackle tricky hikes without worrying about slipping.
The midsole technology is particularly noteworthy. The PHORENE™ material offers exceptional bounce, making each step feel less taxing, especially during extended hikes where fatigue can set in. Alongside this, the shoe is surprisingly lightweight, allowing for fluid movement as you navigate diverse landscapes.
One of the primary advantages of these shoes is their aesthetic appeal. Unlike traditional hiking shoes that often compromise style for functionality, the ECCO ULT-TRN combines both elements seamlessly. You can transition from the trails to casual outings without feeling out of place.
However, while the shoe excels in many areas, it's essential to note that it may not perform as well on very rugged terrains compared to some competitors. Additionally, individuals with wider feet might find the fit a bit narrow, so trying them on before purchasing is advisable.

Eccos are always comfortable!
Bought these as work shoes (something not as heavy or messy as boots as I do construction repair work in homes.) These needed a few days to be broken in as they were a little tight but now they are perfect. Good build quality, the leather is nice and easy to wipe clean. The treads on these soles are rigid and aggressive, hands down the best traction I've ever had in a piece of footwear. Even though these are low cut, they offer quite a bit of support surprisingly. Only complaint is that I wish the tongue was slightly wider. I tend to slip off/on my shoes, with these I need to adjust the tongue when doing so as it doesn't get covered on both sides sometimes, doesn't happen when I tie them like normal people would, but I just prefer to slip on my shoes.
Had to return these. They were true to size and quality was great, but they are extremely heavy. Would not work well for all day wear as heavy as they are.
11-11½. very confortable. better than I expected. I also have Ecco Biom Walkers.
They look well made but a size large
Well made productt
Big fan of Ecco’s but these were the least comfy. And they run big. Can’t win them all.
