The Columbia Womens Trailstorm Mid Waterproof Hiking Shoe excels in several key areas that make it a worthy choice for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. Its Navic Fit System ensures a snug and secure fit around your midfoot, providing the necessary support when tackling uneven trails. The Adapt Trax outsole performs exceptionally well regardless of weather conditions, allowing you to confidently traverse through muddy or slippery paths.
One of the standout features is the Techlite+ foam midsole, which offers an impressive level of cushioning. This responsive underfoot experience helps reduce fatigue during long hikes, so your feet feel great even after hours of wear. Additionally, the Omni-Tech waterproof breathable membrane keeps water at bay while allowing moisture to escape, offering a comfortable interior environment.
On the downside, some users may find that the sizing runs a bit smaller than expected, making it essential to try the shoes on or carefully measure your feet before purchase. Furthermore, while the shoe provides substantial protection, the laces and zippers are not waterproof, which is something to consider if you frequently hike in rainy conditions.
Overall, the Columbia Womens Trailstorm Mid Waterproof Hiking Shoe is a reliable option for anyone seeking comfort, protection, and traction on their hiking adventures.

Loved how I didn’t have to break these in before our trip! We hiked through Arkansas for Thanksgiving break and my feet stayed warm and dry walking across creeks and next to waterfalls. Good traction and support on our hikes on steep and rocky terrain as well! Also was a plus that they were a great price! I bought a size larger than my normal size to give myself plenty of toe room for going downhill and they fit great!
I bought these for hiking upnorth! They were so comfy and I was a little concerned by some of the reviews saying they weren’t super heavy duty but I have had no problem so far! I love that they aren’t too clunky (my bigger feet look bad if chunky shoes) and I loved how stylish they were!
I have worn Salomon's for years and have found them to be perfectly constructed for my feet. I have a narrow foot, which is one reason I have stayed with the brand. Although they are narrow in the heel and arch, the ball and toe space is wide enough for my bunion and toes. The boots are lightweight but still have a good support of the ankle and heel. No break-in period, I put them on and wore them all day the first day.
I used them during a hiking trip and felt very safe, not slippery, and very good support for my ankles. They are a little bulky but overall comfortable. I didn’t feel my feet wet even under light drizzling , crossing some shallow rivers and walking by the beach, but not sure if they are 100% waterproof . Happy with the purchase
I’m a dog trainer I work outside and on my feet all day, I’m in the field and in mud and rain, snow. Outside all year roundI wouldn’t go on more than a nature walk on a dry day with theses. Not water resistant AT ALL. The dew from wet grass soaked my socks. They run small I can feel the seam in the sole around the side of my foot and it’s uncomfortable. And the feel like memory foam which is HORRIBLE and n my lower back and knees. I’m pretty pissed off I spent all that money on these. The only think I’ll give them is they are warm, and the traction on the bottom is good but overall for what they sell them for and what they cost they are absolutely trashGo with keen or timberlands. My timberlands are me hood work boots
Buy them! They are such a great fitting, comfortable hiking shoe. I wanted more ankle support for my hour of walking the park trails daily and this provided that along with excellent foot support from the footbed. They are durable and just a shoe brush over them perks them up nicely. People are lazy about caring for their shoes these days and when you are off trails and through different dirt, gravel etc. you DO need to at least brush them regularly. The webbing will trap dust and debris if not cared for but that is on you, not the shoe!
i had a pair of Ecco shoes i bought years ago, but the bottom of the shoes felled out when I went for a hiking . I just realized i need to buy a new pair every few years. I want something light, protective, water proof, reasonable soft bottoms. This shoes fit perfectly! Have been wearing them ever since I bought them.
