The Columbia Women's Trailstorm Waterproof shoes excel in various environmental conditions, thanks to their Omni-Tech waterproof construction which effectively keeps your feet dry. The breathable design ensures that even during intense activities, moisture can escape, preventing clamminess inside the shoe.
When it comes to traction, the Adapt Trax outsole performs admirably. Whether you're traversing wet rocks or loose gravel, the shoes provide a level of grip that enhances stability and confidence on every step. Additionally, the 4 mm lugs are strategically oriented to tackle both upward and downward slopes efficiently.
Comfort is another significant aspect where these shoes shine. The Techlite+ foam midsole delivers cushioning that feels supportive yet responsive, allowing you to remain energized during long hikes or walks. Furthermore, the seamless mesh upper adds a layer of comfort by reducing the risk of blisters.
However, it's worth mentioning that some users have reported that the fit could feel narrower than other brands, particularly for those with wider feet. Moreover, while breaking them in might take some time, the eventual comfort they offer makes it worthwhile.

This shoe was a weird fit on me. I had to cinch them nearly completely closed across the top of my foot, and then the fabric puckered across the top and looked terrible. I didn't feel like they would support my foot when I walked because they felt wobbly. For reference, I did size up 1/2 and the length was fine. I have a narrow, low volume foot, which is always challenging. A different Columbia shoe ended up being a much better fit for me, so I will return this one. The toebox is narrower than other shoes, so that might be tough for those with wider feet, but if you have a higher volume regular width foot, this might be a good one for you.
