The Columbia Women's Plateau Waterproof Hiking Shoe stands out for its versatile design, making it ideal for both hiking adventures and day-to-day activities. The use of Omni-Tech waterproof technology ensures that no matter what nature throws at you, your feet will stay dry. The breathable upper allows for ventilation, which is particularly helpful during warmer months or intense activities.
The shoe's lightweight construction doesn't compromise on stability. Thanks to the additional lacing eyelets, your foot feels securely locked down, providing confidence as you navigate rocky paths or slippery surfaces. Comfort is further enhanced with the TechLite midsole, delivering a remarkable cushioning experience that absorbs impact while hiking.
One of the notable highlights is the Omni-Grip outsole, offering excellent traction on various terrains. This feature comes in handy whether you’re outdoors or moving about indoors, where the non-marking rubber won’t leave scuffs on floors.
Despite its many strengths, it's worth noting that those with wider feet might find the fit a tad snug, and it may not provide enough warmth for colder months without additional thermal layering. Overall, if you’re seeking a durable, stylish, and functional hiking shoe, the Columbia Women's Plateau is definitely worth considering.

I love these shoes. They are comfortable, waterproof, and look good on.
The number one reason I bought this shoe Is that they are waterproof. I don’t find it easy to find wide sneaker type hiking shoes so I was thrilled to find these. They do run small. I’m normally a 10W womens but had to return my first order and go to a full size up. The color selection in my size was very limited but the fact that these shoes aren’t 15 different neon colors on a shoe was a great find as well. I don’t like garish colored shoes. Overall a five star for me!
Wanted a shoe for walking and this shoe is perfect with a lot of support
I took a risk ordering these but immediately after these shoes arrived, I tried them on expecting them to be narrow and ill fitting. I was delighted and relieved as I will be doing lots of hiking on an upcoming vacation out of the country. I purchased a half size larger based on reviews, and they fit perfectly! They’re also quite comfortable and very nice looking on my feet. I realize that they’ve not been broken in yet, but to start off with them feeling great makes me feel very positive about them.
This shoe is attractive but way too narrow. Unusually narrow ! I might try the 7 1/2 in Wide but these must go back. Also very cheap insole. Completely flat. Lacking in arch support. If I order the wide I know in advance I would need to replace the insole. Will think about it. Meanwhile. These go back.
Maybe the pair I received is an outlier. Maybe there's some new fad in sports shoes that I missed. I just don't see how anyone could run or walk in these shoes. Never before have I seen a pair of shoes that literally looked pronated--that is, with the toes turned in toward the body midline--but these are. They are literally arc-shaped. Consequently, the ball of the foot area gets even more pressure on it than usual and feels super-narrow. If I did wear them, I'd constantly be fighting the motion of "toeing in," and that's bad for anyone at any age. I love the colors, the fabrics are nice, and I wanted so much to love these shoes, but it looks like Columbias aren't for me. Disappointing.I received no compensation for this review.
I use these shoes to walk the dog. They are comfortable and protect my feet from getting wet from the grass in the morning.
My feet are very sensitive and heels hurt when I walk a lot. These are very comfortable and the only sneakers I am currently using. Didn’t even give a shoe bite when worn the first time.
