When it comes to outdoor footwear, the Columbia Women's Peakfreak II Outdry stands out for several reasons. The first thing you'll notice is the incredible grip offered by its Adapt Trax outsole. Whether you're hiking over rocky terrain or walking on slippery surfaces, these shoes provide the confidence you need to keep moving forward.
Comfort is another key category where this product excels. The Techlite+ midsole delivers a soft yet responsive cushion underfoot, allowing for all-day wear without discomfort. You can comfortably wear these shoes on long hikes or casual outings, and they won't let you down.
The NAVIC FIT SYSTEM locks down the midfoot securely, which is especially beneficial during vigorous activities. Coupled with the seamless mesh upper, you can expect a snug fit that provides ample support while still allowing breathability.
Moreover, the OutDry waterproof technology effectively keeps moisture at bay, making these shoes perfect for unexpected rain or muddy trails. Just be mindful that the laces and zippers are not waterproof, so plan accordingly if you're venturing into heavy rain.
In terms of design, the Monument/Wild Fuchsia colorway adds a stylish flair, ensuring you don’t have to compromise on aesthetics when choosing functional footwear.

Best hiking shoe I have ever purchased! Highly recommend!
It was my best choice of trekking footwear. I needed shoes for some complicated trips, with many stones, streams, wet and muddy terrain, mountain ranges, many mountain climbs and these shoes were very useful to me. It adequately protected my feet and they never got wet, despite frequent rains and lots of snow. After more than 100 km of trekking, plus a few uses before trekking to get used to it and avoid blisters, these shoes are in impeccable condition. Highly recommended!
It's difficult for me to find shoes that fit because I have very flat and wide feet, in addition to a mild to moderate bunion on one foot. Also, it's difficult to find shoes that are size 10.5. I bought Columbia Women's Peakfreak II Outdry Hiking Shoes in Beetroot, Sundance specifically for a trip to Alaska last month. I didn't walk through mud or streams but we encountered plenty of rain and cold puddles. The toe box of these shoes was wide and comfortable. Normally, my heels lift a little out of any shoes that have laces, so I was afraid of this and was surprised these didn't do that! The shoes were (dare I say?)... very comfortable! We walked a lot on our trip and my feet never got tired or achy. I thought the color was a little bright when I first took them out of the box, but it grew on me and now, I like them even more because they're different than other hiking/running shoes in the usual colors. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my purchase!
I have very hard to fit feet. This was the winner from 17 pairs of shoes ordered (16 returned!). IT is very true to fit (length & width) with good support and Ortholite cushioning. Light weight, thehHeel doesn't slip, and it is roomy in the toe area for hiking purposes. Cant wait to break them in and test their waterproof material which it got great reviews for.
I normally wear a 7 or 7 wide, and I purchased this in 7 wide. I wish it were just a little wider. I ended up returning these and keeping the the Columbia Hatana Max Outdry Hiking Shoe in 7 wide instead, as the Hatana seemed slightly wider and more comfortable for me. For length, your normal size might work, but I would probably order a half size up to get just a little more room if you're using hiking socks.
I was worried it wouldn't fit my wife's feet which are very wide but it fit perfectly. We used to hike around Southern Utah and New Mexico and it was very comfortable for her and a great product!
I had a previous version of these and was so glad to get another pair. Great shoes, so comfortable!
Very durable, comfortable, and I love the way they look.
