The Columbia Women's Newton Ridge BC hiking boots undergo rigorous testing to ensure they meet the needs of outdoor enthusiasts. Let's break down the different aspects of this product:
These boots excel in providing comfort, thanks to the Techlite cushioning, which absorbs impact efficiently. Although some users report a slight break-in requirement, the boots generally adapt well to your feet over time. The lightweight material also means you won't feel weighed down on longer hikes.
With OMNI-SHIELD technology, these boots repel water and resist stains effectively. You can confidently walk through wet or muddy conditions without worrying about damaging your footwear.
The OMNI-GRIP rubber sole provides exceptional traction, making it easy to navigate rocky, slippery, or uneven terrain. This feature significantly enhances your stability, reducing the risk of slips and falls.
Featuring a classic silhouette, the textured suede design makes these boots as stylish for casual outings as they are functional for outdoor adventures. The wide laces also contribute to a secure fit, allowing customization for individual comfort preferences.

These boots are so comfortable and stylish. They fit true to size. I usually wear 9 and decided to get size 10 for my thick socks. I still have space for my toes so maybe stick with your original size for thin socks and only go half size up for thick socks.
I was a bit skeptical about buying them mostly because of comfort and sizing but they did not disappoint. They run true to size and top comfort!!! They look and feel really good.
These are super comfy and perfect for a walk, a hike, or daily wear.
Though I ended up returning them to buy lower hiking shoes instead, I did love these. They’re very light weight and feel comfortable. I sized up because I have wide feet, but had I decided to keep them I would’ve reordered a regular size.
These are the boots I never knew I needed until I moved to the mountains, and now that I have them I'll never stop wearing them even if I move back to the city (doubt that tho). They fit and feel like athletic shoes but are lighter and more durable. So far I've worn them while running errands around town in both dry and rainy weather, climbing around on rocky terrain, and light hiking through the snow. I've never lost traction or slipped, but to be fair I have excellent balance. 🤣 I'm usually a size 7.5W but ordered an 8 because 7.5 was almost double in price. I have plenty of wiggle room which is fine since I should be wearing thick or two pairs of socks anyway. I ended up ordering 7.5W in another model of Columbia hiking boots (Newton Ridge Plus) and I definitely prefer it over the 8's but I'm still keeping them. Overall an amazing boot that will last through winter and beyond no doubt.
I recently got into hiking and these are perfect! Many may be deterred by the fact they are white but they do not get as dirty as one would assume. They are easy to wash and look super cute! Ankle support is great and they do not leave any blisters. Only thing that I did not notice is that they have some light purple detailing which honestly is not a problem for me!
Feet stayed warm and dry!
Love them! Went on a couple wintery/snow hike & they were great!Comfortable, supportive and plenty of room on the toe box.
