Have had a couple issues with previous shoes with the Outdry tech (durability of one model and waterproofness of another iteration). Despite those hicccups I keep coming back to these shoes because of the great fit and awesome waterproofing, these are my fourth, maybe 5th? pair. Like the fit much better than my last pair of Salomon’ which were more expensive. I wear these daily (no break in needed **because of my high arches I swapped the insoles with to firm Treadlab inserts). Live in PNW so much of their time is spent in wet terrain. Excellent grippy tread for scrambling wet or dry mountainsides, creek beds, and jetty rocks. They also keep out sand. Have not had this particular pair for long so durability is t.b.d. Last pair is over 1 1/22yrs old and worn daily so hardly any tread left but still holding on to them to wear when mowing.Update 9/19/23Still waterproof and continuing to hold up well.
Waterproof, stylish, comfortable… highly recommend!
Might I say, I was excited to write this review! I wore the shoes for the first time yesterday out hiking. The terrain was average. However, it had rained and it was quite muddy and I had to walk trough standing water in some areas. The shoes were very comfortable and WATERPROOF! The person I went with, had gotten a new pair of waterproof shoes as well. Hers were definitely cute, but didn’t stand the test. Her shoes and her feet were wet and muddy before we ever finished the hike. The pictures are before the hike, after the hike and after spraying with the water hose. All good and still waterproof! Also important, is don’t judge the shoe when you open the box. I opened the box and thought I must have ordered a man’s shoe because they looked big. Not the case at all! I wear a size 9 in sneakers. I ordered a size 9 and they fit great and wear well! I like the feel and support of the shoe. I think the shoe would be good for everyday wear as well.
These were very very cute and they had great traction and The soles of them did not hurt at all however the top part hurt my toes on top very much lol....I will say I did wear these hiking in the desert without breaking them in so that was kind of my bad but I think maybe with time they would be fine, I bandaged my toes when I wore them but I also don't wear hiking shoes on the regular, so I only wore these for a few hours a day for 6 days, but these are a nice durable pair of shoes and if I need a hiking camping rugged shoe I will wear these again I'll just make sure and bandage my toes and perhaps I will fully break them in the next time I wear them lol.
I have been using these Shoes for several months now, and I have been very impressed with its performance. It has kept my feet dry in all weather conditions, and it has been very comfortable to wear. It also has good traction, which has helped me to stay safe on wet and slippery surfaces. Overall, I am very happy with the product. It is a well-made and high-performing shoe that is perfect for hiking in all weather conditions.
Comfy, light, water proof!
The soles on these are nice and thick for hikes on rocky terrain. They have held up well and are very comfortable.
They fit well. I bought these because I was looking for a hiking shoe that would keep my feet dry in the dewy morning grass. The first time I went for a walk with these I was so thrilled because they kept my feet dry. Fast forward a few weeks and they no longer keep my feet dry. I'm very disappointed because I paid quite a bit of money for a shoe that doesn't function as advertised and I can no longer return the item. If you're looking for a waterproof shoe, stay away from these.
