The Columbia Women's Crestwood Waterproof shoes stand out in a crowded market for their impressive balance of protection and comfort. The OMNI-TECH technology effectively blocks moisture from entering while allowing your feet to breathe. This feature becomes especially handy during unexpected rain or wet terrains, ensuring that your feet remain dry throughout your trek.
When it comes to comfort, the TechLite midsole lends itself exceptionally well. Users often report minimal fatigue after hours of walking or hiking, attributing this to its high energy return properties. Whether you're navigating rocky trails or spending time on a leisurely stroll, the cushioning provided by these shoes is commendable.
The combination of leather, mesh, and webbing not only contributes to the shoe's durability but also offers a stylish aesthetic. While the available color choices may be somewhat limited, the Kettle/Dark Grey option provides a neutral look that pairs well with most outdoor attire. Additionally, the non-marking Omni-Grip outsole enables you to transition seamlessly from outdoor trails to indoor settings without worrying about scuff marks.
One minor drawback some users have pointed out is the narrower fit. Those with wider feet might need to size up or consider additional replacements insoles for added comfort. Nonetheless, the overall performance of the Crestwood makes it a worthy investment for anyone seeking reliable outdoor footwear.

I am super happy with these Columbia hiking shoes! I have good hiking boots and was looking for hiking shoe as an alternative. This pair totally fit the bill. First of all, it was comfortable in a 7 wide, which is my normal size in a boot. Roomy enough for a thick sock. Right of out of the box, I wore it on a wooded one mile hike with no discomfort at all, and have worn it on several more hikes with no problems. It seems like a very well-made shoe, with a thick grippy sole, a protected front, a padded tongue, and all the other features you’d like to see on a hiker. You can trip on a root in these shoes and your feet will be protected.Second of all, it looks great. The pebble brown is a very traditional hiking color, with contrasting laces. The laces aren’t too long or too short. I haven’t worn it in wet conditions but it seems quite waterproof. The weight of the shoe is reasonable, a little heavy for packing but you need some heft for a decent boot. This is not a sneaker posing as a hiking shoe, but a real hiker that you can wear on the trail.
Right out of the box I put these shoes to the test...rain, snow, slush and slippery driveways. The shoes were comfortable, gave me confidence as I trodded through all kinds of weather and most of all kept my feet DRY!!!I was sad to throw my very old Keen's away, but these shoes have proven that they are a great replacement.
I walk every day on a paved, fairly level trail. But, I have to travel through wet vegetation to get to the trail, so having waterproof footwear is important. When I tried these on and walked around my house they felt ok - they are lightweight and have decent support. When I wore them on the trail this morning they kept my feet dry - but the toe box is just a tad too narrow and the heel rubs my ankle a bit. I know from experience that those issues will only get worse. I’m very disappointed, the shoes look great and would probably fit someone who isn’t as fussy as I am. Unfortunately I’m returning them.
I've been using these hiking shoes for a couple of months in the Pacific Northwest, they are very comfortable, although I did put my own insoles in them as the ones they came with are not very cushioned. I use them almost every day to walk my dog through wet, frosty grass and in the rain, my feet are always dry! I wear a size 12 womens shoe and the fit is great! The traction is good and they're lightweight for hiking! Great overall!!
Runs a bit large and wide. Fits great with a thick sock.
I was looking for a good hiking shoe for the warmer climate I am planning to visit and these were perfect. I especially liked the fact they came in a wide selection. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn’t have to break them in because they were comfortable when I initially tried them on and used them.. They look and feel like a quality shoe (Columbia) at a great price. I definitely would recommend.
The first pair I received, the left shoe was sewed crooked across the toe area and I feared it would leak and tear easily. Plus it looked funny, so I just reordered a pair and returned the first. The second pair was sewed perfectly. I love the large box area so I can wear thick socks plus weather proof. I ordered the basic brown as I live on a farm and mud is brown! I like them. Very comfortable and excellent material. Super!
Great fit, warm and comfortable.
