The Columbia Men's Newton Ridge Waterproof Omni-Heat II excels in several key areas, making it a top choice for outdoor enthusiasts. Starting with its waterproof capabilities provided by the OMNI-TECH technology, you can confidently navigate through wet environments without fear of soggy socks. The breathable construction enhances comfort, preventing moisture build-up inside the boot.
In terms of warmth, the OMNI-HEAT feature is a standout, reflecting your body heat back to your feet while still allowing sweat to escape. This unique balance means you won’t have to sacrifice warmth for breathability during chilly hikes.
The TECHLITE cushioning is another highlight, offering excellent impact absorption which results in reduced fatigue during extended use. Coupled with the OMNI-GRIP outsole, these boots provide superb traction, whether you're traversing rocky trails or muddy paths.
However, every product has its downsides. Some users have reported that the fit can feel narrow, especially for those with wider feet. Additionally, you might need an initial break-in period to ensure optimal comfort.

The Newton Ridge is a good-looking shoe with good reviews. My regular size fits well. Top opening is snug, once on they are really comfortable. No exposure yet to water or snow. The insulation keeps my feet cozy warm during the extreme cold weather recently. I've worn them a couple weeks and am pleased. Time will tell about durability. I liked that they are made in Vietnam versus China (whose shoes usually separate from the sole quickly).Last week I attempted to order a pair for my son and was surprised at the price drop. A closer look at the specifications indicated "Made in China." I didn't place the order.I'm happy with mine, gambling that the sealant doesn't blow out. Hedged the bet by ordering a package of Boot Adhesive.
My husband loves these boots. Very comfortable, waterproof and stylish. I will definitely be buying another pair. Very happy with our purchase.
Color is a little darker/duller than the images online but not too far off. Quality is still great, actually my second pair. I also have the white version, they look great and feel great.
Very comfortable and light plus they stay very warm.
Comfortable right out of the box. Very little break-in required. Lightweight and very warm.Omni-heat really helps keep your feet warm. As always the correct weight and material socks are required.Fit well, a bit wide in 13 which I need.
These do really help keep your feet warm, my feet haven’t gotten wet, and I e got to say out of the box little to no break in is needed!
I bought these to replace another pair of Columbia boots I’d lost last year. Didn’t have the same issue with my previous ones but these were just painful to wear. The toebox is too stiff and creates a crease that crushes your toes as you walk. Was hurting for days after my first hike in them. Unfortunately I’m stuck with them and can’t return since they’re no longer in “like new” condition after trying them out in the real world.
Perfect product !!
