The Columbia Men's Montrail FKT is tailored for serious trail runners seeking an effective blend of comfort and performance. The shoe's adaptive terrain response gives it an edge when navigating rough paths. Whether you’re climbing steep inclines, descending rocky trails, or tackling muddy terrain, these shoes provide the grip and stability needed for confidence during your runs.
Comfort is another highlight. Many users appreciate the sock-like fit that hugs the foot snugly without feeling restrictive. This feature not only contributes to the overall comfort but also reduces the risk of blisters during long treks.
However, while the Montrail F.K.T. impresses with its abilities, it's worth noting that some individuals with wider feet might find the fit a bit constricting. Additionally, those who prefer more cushioning might feel the need for a little extra padding underfoot, especially on extremely rugged trails.
Overall, the Columbia Men's Montrail FKT stands out as a versatile trail running shoe, ideal for both casual joggers and seasoned adventurers who prioritize performance, breathability, and solid traction.

I really liked the colors in the men’s sneakers, the black with lime green and deep eggplant. So I took a chance and ordered them in men’s size 7. I am normally a women’s 8,5 and the men’s 7 fits just fine. I really like these sneakers, they are very light weight and comfortable and provide enough traction for walking on a trail. They are hoever difficult to step in because the side elastics are sewn. I do not know what the thought behind this design choice is. If you have a high instep you may not be able to get your foot in these sneakers. However, if you manage to get your foot in they are great.
I trailrun every single weekend, going on 10 years without missing a run.I try a different brand model every year (I got through 2 to 3 pairs per year, 1k miles/yr)and most top brands are pretty good, but I come back to Montrail "main" models (their most popular and versatile models).Like the Diablo's of the past, these are excellent all around runners. Excellent quality and thoughtful design. The tread is the perfect blend for varying terrains, from muddy to slick rock. The moderately aggressive tread had much spacing between knobs so that moist dirt does not accumulate and pack in between the raised treades.Generous toe impact protection - you'll be glad the front tip is fully covered. The shoe is durable, the last does not separate prematurely, the fabric does not fray easily. You get many miles of use for the money.
Sizes are like other sneakers I have to get a half size up from my boot size. I haven’t worn these but a couple times to the disc golf course and so far they are great! They Breathe extremely well, good ground feel but not too much
great fit, stable shoe, good traction, supportive but flexs comfortably.
Fit a bit too snug, the last pair didn't have the plastic sides and were sown. The heal was immediately uncomfortable.I dont know why Columbia changed from the previous design...
