The Columbia Men's Extended Bugaboot Celsius Plus excels in cold weather performance, thanks to its innovative technologies like OMNI-HEAT and TECHLITE. With these features, you experience an impressive level of warmth without added bulk, making it easy to wear during extended outdoor activities.
This footwear stands out with its OUTDRY waterproofing technology, which effectively keeps moisture at bay, crucial for navigating through slushy winter paths or unexpected downpours. The breathable nature of the material also prevents overheating, maintaining a comfortable internal environment.
When it comes to traction, the ADAPT TRAX outsole offers reliable grip, ensuring that you remain stable on wet or icy surfaces. This can be particularly beneficial if you are hiking or walking in challenging terrains.
One potential downside is the bulkiness; while the boot features a robust design built for protection and warmth, it might feel too hefty for non-winter wear. Additionally, sizing may be an issue for some users, as it tends to run large, which could necessitate trying multiple sizes to find the perfect fit.

I just bought these, and I wanted to give my initial impressions. I have other Columbia winter boots. All the other ones I had to order up a full size to get a good fit. I did that with these as well based on previous experience with Columbia footwear. This boot appeared to be a half size too large. However, I would rather have too large than too small in winter boots. I am also somewhat stuck as Columbia does not do half sizes over a men's size 12. I ordered a size 13, and I imagine a size 12.5 would fit me perfect. The build quality seems very good with these boots. The insulation looks very substantial. I wore them around briefly. The boots were very comfortable, and there won't be a long break in period.I tested my boots by soaking them in a tub of water for several minutes. The insides were completely dry. I can verify they are waterproof.I will have to test these out this winter to see how warm they are. Despite that, I am very optimistic these will be warm. I will update this review at a later time as I get to wear them in a Wisconsin winter.Edit:I forgot to add in my initial review that these boots have a fairly substantial amount of room over the top of the foot. That provides enough extra room to layer socks. I also added a cheap ($12) Toasty Feet aerogel insole, and I still have room to layer socks. That insole is about 1/8" thick. Yes, there is a lot of room above the foot.
Water proof and warm I work in the rain past the test
I hunted for two weeks in 16+ inches of snow.My feet stayed warmish and dry. I like how easy the boots slip on however they seem to run a little bit small in the boot would rub slightly on the corner of my big toes.
Love love LOVE
The 400g insulation is no joke. Stood outside in -40F weather and toes were warm while working through snowstorm
Best winter boots that I ever own very comfortable, very well made
I like they keep my feet warm and are waterproof.. I work as a delivery person so to me they are not the boots for everyday work as I do.. But highly recommend them..
