The BASS OUTDOOR Women's Peak Webbing Hiker L Hiking Shoe stands out for its cushioned footbed, which provides excellent arch support and comfort. Users will appreciate how these shoes feel during extended wear, making them ideal for long hikes or outdoor workouts. The leather outer ensures that your feet remain protected from rocks and other obstacles while maintaining breathability.
Furthermore, the rubber sole delivers outstanding traction, which is crucial when navigating uneven surfaces. Whether you're trekking through muddy trails or rocky paths, you can trust that these shoes will keep you stable.
The pull-on closure type is another significant advantage; it simplifies getting ready for your adventures. However, some users have reported that the shoes may require a short break-in period for maximum comfort, especially if you have wider feet. Additionally, while the water resistance helps during light rain, it's important to remember that they aren't completely waterproof, so planning is key during wet conditions.

My only concern was fit, Bass shoes in general run a little narrower than other brands. I wear an 8B (medium) in street shoes. These are a perfect fit. They are well made and a good value for the price. I can’t wait to take then hiking!
These shoes are great at keeping your feet dry and admittedly, I haven’t really used them for hiking, but do not mistake these shoes as a substitute for snow boots. The soles are made to grip things, but cannot find traction on ice. Please take care if you wear these in the snow!
I loved the look of this shoe and was so psyched to try them out on the trail . . . until I put them on. I solidly wear a size 9 to 9.5, with a 9.5 usually giving me a fair amount of space to wiggle my toes. These, however, were much too snug, even with a pair of thin socks, let alone the heavy socks I would be wearing while hiking. I was very disappointed I will not be able to wear these, so definitely err on the side of a larger size if you order!
I needed a pair of hiking shoes that weren’t boots. These fit the Bill. They are not slippery and have a very firm soul and good arch support. I wear a size 9 in close toed shoes or boots and that is the size I got in these shoes and they fit me well with just enough room in the toebox. I cannot attest yet to whether they are fully waterproof, but I did wear them in the rain, and they did appear to be water resistant as described.
These are nice hiking shoes. They are very sturdy and I like that they are fairly waterproof. I have not actually worn them for hiking yet, I wore them to a rainy outdoor concert. I will say they were snug, I would order a size up, especially if you have wider feet like me. Other than the tightness they were comfortable and supportive. They gripped well in mud as well.
I have the big hiking boots for heavier, more rugged terrain, but they are overkill for more basic hikes/walks. I wanted something comfortable with good traction for when I don't need the ankle support and the weight of the heavy boots styles. I love these, they are great. Well made. A little snug in the toe box for a 7.5. I have wider feet, so I would size up if you are like me. I'm hoping they will relax a bit as I wear them. Heavy duty shoes and a nice style/color too.
I ordered a half size larger since they don’t come in wide. Overall, I really do like these shoes but I have to wear thin socks with them, since they are slightly tight on my bunion foot. They are water proof, which makes the feet clammy. I wore them all day at work, I stand and walk for pretty much 8 hours a day and overall my feet were happy! I just wish they were a bit wider in the toe box.
I am very sad to report that I cannot provide a full review on these shoes. I wear a solid 7.5 shoe - all the time, everywhere. If a 7.5 is unavailable, sometimes a 7 will fit me - but I never need to go up to an 8. So I was confident ordering a 7.5 in this shoe.Unfortunately, when they arrived, I could barely get them on my feet. Nevertheless, I stuffed my feet inside hoping maybe they would loosen up a bit as I walked around. I made it from the bedroom to the kitchen before I had to take them off because they hurt too much. They are attractive shoes and seem to be really good quality. They are just built too small.
