I purchased these for a trip to Iceland and they were absolutely perfect. Comfortable, great in all weather conditions, and cute too! True to size, my feet are wide but I had no issues with width.
Size fits right, did not have to size up or down. Very comfortable.I wore it for the first hike on 8 miles hike yesterday (trail condition was gentle, some uphill, some downhill, probably 500 to 700 ft of elevation change overall, plus a little off-trail). It left me with no foot pain unlike my Merrell shoes. My feet were a bit tired but normal tire with that distance, not the soreness and fatigue like I always got from Merrell. Waking up this morning with no residual tiredness to the feet at all. These shoes are perfect for me for the dirt, soft trails. I'll probably switch to more beefy boots for more rocky trails. The sole is pretty good and pretty grippy.I found the insole to be cushy and comfortable. I may not even need to switch to insoles for Planta Fasciitis.I have wide feet. I love that it's made of suede upper so I could steam the inside for couple minutes and wear the shoes around the house for 10 minutes to stretch it a bit. (Don't do steaming if you want the shoes to keep a more structured shape and you don't need to stretch it, suede will soften on its own.) the lacing system also allows me to loosen the lacing around the widest part of my feet.I did get hot spots on my little toes, but like I said, I have wide feet (really hard for me to find shoes), only the most generous toe box shoes do not give me that for 8 miles hike. Couple little hot spots on little toes is not a big concern. I'm pretty sure the shoe will break in with either another hike or with a stretcher. My main concern with buying hiking shoes is the foot pain and fatigue, and this passed with flying colors.Finding a good pair of shoes that works for my wide feet, high instep is such a chore, and companies often update or discontinue a loved model. I was so happy with this shoes that I ended up ordering another pair. I would order 2 pairs if I have the money :)Update: 2 days later I wore it for a 9.5 mile hike, 1600' climb first 4.75 miles, decent on the same route on the way back. Part of the trail was rocky. My feet were very tired at the end, but no pain. Hotspots were mostly gone. Next morning, no sore or tired feet. Conclusion, I love this pair for softer trails, will wear more beefy shoes for longer, rockier hikes.Side note: I also bought a pair of Asolo Shiver (looks like the previous model of Asolo Space) from a discount site for $75. They look very similar, but Space is definitely a much better upgrade with much cushier and much more comfortable sole.
Was searching for a pair of goretex hiking shoes for a trip to Alaska. Based on a lot of online reviews I ordered these Asolo’s and I could not be happier. Wore them for 7 days straight, including long flight days and my feet stayed dry and happy, no blisters, no aches. The toe box is wide enough for a broad foot but not sloppy, my foot did not ride up at the heel, and the shoes are very attractive. The tread is awesome. I am very pleased with this purchase.
I needed new sturdy hiking shoes for mixed terrain for about 5 miles. Womens athletic shoes tend to be too narrow for me; mens to clunky. I had my eye on these hiking shoes and finally tried them. I got a women's 9.5; I normally wear a US 10.5 or EU 41 or 42 depending on the brand. They fit great, largely because I can control the width of the lower part of the shoe. The suede/gortex upper is more attractive than most hiking shoes that have layers of rubber, plastic, and/or mesh.
I wear an 8 and the size is correct in that they are true to size. However, I have thin narrow feet so these are a little lose on the sides for me, but I can pull tighter or wear thicker sock. They are one of the most comfortable hiking shoes I've ever purchased and although I wished they felt more like a sneaker without losing any of their features, they are still very comfortable for a hiking shoe. I used these for 2 consecutive days of hiking and felt that they are overall comfortable. The hiking trails were 3-4 hours each day. Cushion and bounce without compromising durability and grip, are still king for any shoe when walking for hours, but these are pretty good nevertheless.
I live in cold weather environment. These shoes are great. This purchase is my third pair. I run/walk in them in the winter and appreciate the tread and warmth with my cold weather socks. I also use them in the summer for bike riding. I like the pointed toe as I need the room as I have a second longer toe that doesn't fit in a bumper/snub toe style shoes.
I’ve looked at these shoes for awhile..Outland USA had the best price! I have Asolo boots and I love them! These Asolo shoes are just as great! Light and comfortable! Highly recommend!
