I really wanted a pair of slip on shoes I could wear around the barn and other places. I work at the barn doing horse chores and riding lessons. I tack up a lot of miles per day. So, comfort is top priority. I have worn ariat western boots, ariat tall boots and most recently had a pair of ariat all terrains. I find ariat to be super comfortable. I am hard on my footwear so they are not always as durable as I would like. My all terrains have been my go to boots for the last 5 months. Their biggest drawback is that they are lace up and not easy on off. They were also not the waterproof ones and did not hold up well to rainy season. So, I decided to give these a try. I did get waterproofing and sprayed them down first thing. At first I was concerned that they were too lose in the heel. The first day I had ribs on a couple of toes. By the second day they were broken in and by the end of the first week I loved them.I got lots of compliments with how they look. I wear them around the barn and have ridden western in them no problem.I bought my usual size.I hope they hold up well because I really like them and would definitely buy them again.
Love the shoe very nice. As close to my old ones as possible BUT they run larger. My others were sz 6 so I ordered a six but these run larger and are too big. Want to return or exchange for a 5.5 sz same shoe?
Will buy again
Very comfortable and easy to slip on and off!
One of the best hiking, walking, or playing shoes available. Make sure you use a great leather conditioner on these shoes and they should last a long time. I use them for gardening and walking and doing all kinds of things outside.
I love the way these feel and fit. I have bunions, which are not hurt by this. Grip is good for walking on difficult surfaces. Support is great considering these are slip on shoes. Also, virtually no break in required. I bought them for a trip, wore them briefly to check fit, and embarked. I walked around cities, and hiked in a national forest in these shoes and felt no discomfort. Very happy with this shoe!
Brought them for my wife which she really loves them , especially being waterproof.
I will start with the positives:Very well made, look nice, adequate cushion in sole, true to size in length. Maybe a tad shorter in length but I would order your normal size. Went on 5 mile hike today on paved surfaces and my hip that always hurts isn’t tonight! Now the negatives:Too wide in the heal (I bought heal inserts but still slipped too much, added double cotton socks then they worked well). If you have a thick foot getting these on might be challenging or too tight on the top of your foot. The shoes are pretty warm to wear in the summer but I am really looking forward to wearing them on cooler days.I am not unhappy with my purchase and plan on looking at other footwear by this company as the quality is great.
