These are my favorite shoes in the world. Im on my feet all day. I wear them hiking. And theure slip proof. And comfortable. And they look great
Been looking for work shoes that are made from real leather, that have good insides and souls, that will stand up to me standing up and walking my average 5 to 7 miles a day, all on concrete. Tried all the sneaker types, supposedly leather shoes and have had them all fail due to very thin leather if it was leather, and disbond at the souls or insides tear up at the heal.So far, these are holding up well, with no signs of problems with the leather or insides. The upper seems to be thick enough leather to not split, but also is flexing well with my stride. They seem to be well put together so far. The padded foot bed is comfortable so far.The slip resistant souls are good, but do collect small rocks.Comfort is good, with little break in time, about a day, and my feet were used to them. I can't speak to longevity yet as I've only worn them a few weeks, but so far so good. I'll update if these fail, or are lasting and wearing well. I have been going through shoes about a pair every 8 months to a year, with my last three sneaker types not lasting that long, so I really hope these last better.
The reason I didn't give them a five is because they really jacked the price up. Also I do not like flat soles. They resemble deep tread around the perimeter but revert to a flat sole in the middle. Non slip but allot less traction in the grass, dirt, rocks, or woods. I wear mine for work (office) and outside in the mud and dirt plus ride my KLR650 Duel Sport bike with them. They are however more comfortable than the Alley Cat's model because of the soft insert they incorporate into the Cottonwood Elks "City Slicker" work shoe. They need to cross the Alley Cat and the Cottonwood Elks to make a 5 star shoe in my opinion. Oh! they should make the sole thicker on both models. Just sayin...
I bought these to replace an old pair of Sketchers that had worn down after many years and just like those shoes, these are wonderful! Very comfortable to wear all day with good support. The fit was as expected for me. If you're looking for non-slip shoes that lean towards being more stylish than typical non-slip shoes, these are great. They work well with a variety of outfits and won't hurt your feet in the process. I've been wearing them almost every day for a few months now and they show no signs of falling apart.
I got a pair of these as a gift from my mother quite a few years back and they're very comfortable and durable. So much so in fact that I went searching on Amazon for a replacement pair when they finally wore out after about 5-6 years. The non-slip soles work great at work, at points where I would definitely fall on my butt if I were wearing regular shoes. The shoe is so comfortable that you can walk around Six Flags all day with no foot pain. Please note, when they are new they are a little tight to the point of being a bit uncomfortable; however, after a week or so, they break in a bit and feel wonderful. Highly recommend!
After the "breaking in" period, the shoes works as expected. These were probably overkill for me in that I have a desk job in a professional environment. Still, I needed shoes that weren't too fancy but was budget friendly and would look good in an office setting, yet also be practical. The practical part, the slip-resistant design, works wonderfully as the lobby of my building, as well as the area I work on has tile floors that can get quite slippery when wet, particularly when people are trotting in from the rain. I haven't had any issue with skidding or sliding with these shoes at my office building compared to other shoes I've worn. Also, as pointed out, you may want to consider getting a half-size or one size up from what you normally wear. The shoes do have that extra tightness of boots and dress shoes. I did that; I usually wear size 10.5, but went for a 11, and it turned out great. Nice and snug, not too tight or loose.
I have been wearing this shoe model for years. Both for casual wear and work. Very durable and comfortable.
Nice shoe, unfortunately It runs small and is narrow around the toes. I'm a big fan of Skechers and bought these to replace my old ones I wore for many years. I bought a size 12 which I had before and they had plenty of room. These are too tight and I noticed the front around the toes is more narrow than my old Skechers were. Otherwise the shoes are fine.
