I was very apprehensive in buying sandals for golf, but I am having problems with a toe on my right foot, and just couldn’t fit it in a regular shoe. These were awesome. Very comfortable and provided great stability. I would highly recommend these sandals.
I have a couple of injured toes with nerve damage. Playing in standard golf shoes is painful at times. I have on several occasions opted to play barefoot (which I love to do). Sometimes that is not practical though. I considered wide toebox shoes (sometimes refered to as "barefoot" shoes) but decided to try these sandals instead. I really enjoyed playing in them. They are comfortable, allow room for my toes "to breath", and are surprisingly stable when swinging. The feel of the sole pad may take some getting used to for some. I walk barefoot (even used to run barefoot) almost all the time, so my feet are pretty tough. The roughness of the pad didn't bother me at all. The three Velcro straps allowed me to adjust the fit perfectly. You do have to remember though, that these are sandals. Looking for lost balls in the woods or brush can lead to sticks and pricks to your feet. And, of course, bunker play will result in sand in your sandals. I actually stepped into a swampy area that resulted in a sandal full of mud (which actually felt therapeutic.......but I digress). The sandals cleaned up well though. For now, I'll forego the wide toebox shoes and stick with these sandals.....unless I go barefoot of course.
I wear these golf shoes about 6 months out of the year. Not great in bunkers. OK to walk the course.
I normally wear sandals and to have the opportunity to wear sandals while golfing is a plus. These sandals are comfortable, but not over the top. Worth the price I paid.
I love these golf sandals!
They fit well and held well without any slippage during the golf swing
Will always have a pair.
I started looking at golf sandals because the second toe on my right foot started to ache from golf (also called Morton's toe).I was skeptical about how much stability sandals would give me, and if I would generally feel unsteady when going around the course.I thought I would probably just use them on the driving range, to cut down on my toe crunching time. I was wrong, they have become my footwear on the course, at least until cooler weather hits again. They are very stable and comfortable. I'm not even conscious of having sandals on instead of traditional shoes.I have very wide feet, and they fit great...but as mentioned in another review, you may want to go down a size. I normally wear a size 11, so I ordered a size 10...and it's like they were made for my feet.I'm anticipating that the sandals will be better to have in wet weather, rather than wearing soggy shoes and socks.I don't have any downsides to report, although fashion conscious players may not want to stick out by wearing sandals. Also, I can't speak to durability yet, but I have a pair of FJ 'Freedoms' that apparently are going to outlive me.
