I needed to replace an old pair of FootJoy shoes and started with FJ again. Not disappointed in any dimension!
I ordered these golf shoes based on past good experiences with Footjoy. These Footjoys fit perfect and are comfortable. However, do not order them expecting to receive shoes with a black upper and a black sole. The shoes you will receive will have a black upper and white sole. I contacted the seller, Budget Golf, directly and shared that I thought I was getting all black shoes. The person I contacted at Budget Golf was helpful in that he looked into the matter, but ultimately I was told that they "do not carry this shoe in an all black option." Why then are the shoes misrepresented in their listing on Amazon?
I had a great pair of FootJoy shoes that I bought 15 years ago and had used in years where I golfed. They were fantastic shoes. I used them a few times this year and the soul was coming off the bottom so it was time for an upgrade. Ironically I found this shoe and really liked the color of it and the reviews were great so I ordered it. Ironically it was the exact same shoe just in a future model to my old shoe. I am pretty sure I will keep buying these as I am two for two.
Great fit and good looking shoe, however with two knee replacements I felt stability was an issue. I didn't keep them long enough to rate water resistance.
Okay, I have found the combo shoe I need between spikeless and fully spiked golf shoes. Living in the Northwest, we all need to be ready for a round that goes from sunny to pouring rain during a single loop.The 6 spike design works great for the rain; and the spikeless outer sole works great for the dry rounds. So far, the waterproofing has held up.The kicker for me is that these are the most comfortable golf shoes that I've hoofed in for 18 holes. Right out of the box these FJ shoes felt broken in.
I have bad flat feet, these shoes are very comfortable no trouble walking 18+ holes. The Boa laces were something to get use to but other than that no complaints. Really feel the grip and spike pattern helped to control my over rotation. Would recommend.
I walk carrying my bag old school and not with a push cart. I also 6'2" and carry around more weight on my body than i should so comfortable shoes are a must. I also don't want golf shoes that look like running shoes. These FJ shoes are very comfortable and I have walked two 18 hole rounds since purchasing them. I can say without a doubt they are the most comfortable golf shoes i have ever walked in. I have the softspike model in grey. I got the grey only because they were cheaper 109.00, but the color is growing on me.
My size is 8xw and this shoe fits perfect. Boa loosens up a little from time to time - no big deal just reach down and tighten it. The look and feel of the leather is really great. I like these shoes very very much. I ordered an 8 1/2 XW but sent it back it was to loose. My true shoe size is 8 XW so reordered them in this size and am glad I did - they fit perfect even with thick socks! Order them you won't be disappointed.
