Wow were these ever a surprise! Have a very interesting insole which takes a bit of getting used to but other than that, these are a great pair of shoes for the money... especially since they appear to be a pretty good quality of leather. The insole however, has this texture which is sort of like popped bubble wrap which actually is quite cushy and comfortable once you get used to it.... it IS more annoying when you don't wear hose/socks with them! LOL! They leave "dots" on the soles of your feet...The color is also really nice... not a screaming lipstick red or funky red that doesn't go with anything but goes quite nicely with EVERYTHING so you can give that great "pop" of color to pretty much any outfit... I love them and am so glad that I got them!Only issue I DID have was the back rides a little high and did rub blisters on the back of my heels during the "break in" period but quickly softened up to be my new favorites! Recommend highly!
I purchased these shoes Sept 2011. After trying them on I realized they were too small in the toe box so I wanted to return them. The seller (Wayfair) did not provide a return address label or Customer Service phone number; I had to contact Amazon to request a return label. It's now Dec 2011 and I still do not have a return label or even an address where I can send the shoes.
I wear 8.5 and need a wide shoe. The size I purchased was 8.5 C/D. The seam of the shoe hits an area on top of my feet just above the great toe joint. I did wear the shoes with socks for a few hours at home to try breaking them in. I did have to make sure that I wear a bandaid on top of each foot where the seam hits. They did stretch a little across the top of the foot. Because one foot is wider, it still was a little tight, the other shoe was perfect. The foot beds are very comfortable. I wore them to a wedding (with the bandaids) and got along fine, even with dancing! I am hoping the wider foot's shoe will stretch a little more.
I was on a quest for a new pair of everyday black flats, and after many failures, I think I've found my match. I'd never bought Walking Cradles before, but I was impressed with how comfortable these were right out of the box. They're lightweight with excellent arch support and padding, and the sole has great traction. There was also absolutely no break-in period: the first day I wore them, they were 100% comfortable -- lots of times it takes shoes a while to shape to your feet, but these fit like old favorites from the first step, no unwanted rubbing or blisters anywhere.A note on sizing: While I usually wear a 9.5W, I followed other reviewers' advice and went up to a 10WW, and they fit perfectly. In looking at them I had thought the bigger size would be too big, but the end of the shoe is just shaped so it allows a little extra space for your toes -- a size smaller definitely would have been too short, and my feet stay in this size comfortably when I walk. Bottom line: these are excellent everyday flats!
So comfortable, really help with stability for aging knees.
The shoe size ran small. I wear a size 10 medium . I had to return the shoes, but I loved them.
This shoe is comfortable and attractive for everyday casual wear and even for slightly dressier occasions. I have problem feet and have had bunion surgery which left the front of my feet slightly wider than my original narrow width, while the heel area is unchanged. Also, I have hammertoes. A comfortable fit I can walk in is challenging to find without going to a sneaker or sandal. These shoes are among the best I've found, and Walking Cradles in general seem to be a good choice for me.
The look of the shoe was true ti the description. But I purchased the shoes for work and comfort was my main objective. I've worn them for a week now and the back part of the shoe is still rubbing on my heel. I need to wear Band aids to keep from getting sores. I wouldn't recommend for comfort but hoping they will break in soon.
